Trade Assets Manager (Coolers) at The South African Breweries (SAB)

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Strategy Creation and Operational Execution:
• Defining a strategy that supports the increased availability of cold beer
• Development, implementation and Execution of Annual Cold Plans according to cold capacity need by channel/Outlet.
• Developing a 3-5 year investment plan that supports cold beer availability
• Development, implementation and management of cold programs to drive the cold agenda in trade
• Drive strategic and operational execution requirements to improved ROI and profitability in each channel
• Customer Service and Outsourced Supplier SLA Management:
• Development of strategic and operational execution standards across all areas of Cold

Asset Management

• Design and deliver a “fit for purpose” cooler asset management process and tools to ensure that our competitive advantage is leveraged into the future and our assets protected.
• End to end asset management aligned to Governance Principles​

Budget Development and Management:

• Development and Management of the total Capex and Opex Budget: R200M F15
• Work with ABI to find efficiencies through synergies to bring down operational costs​

Project Management and Innovation

• Project management of national alternative cooling solution installations and roll out according to budget and national need for alternative cooling
• Source best practices globally and drive the introduction of new innovations on Cold

Training and Capability Development:

• Conceptualize and lead the creation and implementation of training material for internal and external use to create/enhance cold culture
• Conceptualize and lead the development of Cold Capability Building programmes for the SAB organisation, customers and suppliers
• Ensure Regional Asset Team Capability Building based on cold strategy Responsible for communication programme to build the Cold Beer Culture Internally and Externally

Profile:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• 5 years experience relating to total asset management
• Total business knowledge relating to systems, finance, sales, brands and operations
• Project Management
• Good understanding of the South African market, route-to-market and operating model
• Thought leader and innovative thinker
• Ability to assimilate a complex, competitive and rapidly changing environment into clear projects and prioritised focus areas
• Ability to deal with multiple complexities
