Proposing and managing the annual transportation budget, operating within approved budget, optimizing resources and determining actions to address cost issues
Continuously improving operations, optimizing transportation process, managing the forwarder (Express Lanes only) selection process, collaborating with the Forwarders and Customs Brokers for promoting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Reviewing and managing transport planner and related functions and forwarders/customs broker KPIs and follow-up with process improvement plans, validating KPIs issued by forwarders and customs brokers along with the cost associated to their service
Ensuring compliance to company procedures and policies within trade and transportation, setting up relevant control mechanisms and documents (loaded on SAP GTS & Share Point)
Responsible for forwarders and customs brokers management and service, managing forwarder weekly performance and cost, acting to ensure respect of associated KPIs and service level agreements
Collaborating with transportation forwarders and customs brokers to negotiate contracts and service level agreements, ensuring compliance of shipping with all local and global regulations (using SAP GTS, whilst optimizing the distribution network and customs procedures and taking full advantage of possible free trade benefits
Working closely with transport partners on resolving issues and providing direction, weekly follow – up with Vendor & GBS to ensure that the accounts payable is in Control, following up with vendors to ensure that POD’s are received
Developing an effective relation with internal (Transport Planning) and external stakeholders (forwarders & customs brokers) and motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure that productivity and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) targets are met
Ensuring that group and local health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives are implemented and understood to ensure safety of people and resources
