Traffic Inspector at Saldanha Municipality

Minimum Requirements: 

• Grade 12 
• Basic Traffic Officer training qualification (Traffic Diploma) 
• Good Public Relations 
• Valid Code B Driving licence 
• No criminal record 
• Firearm proficiency 
• Good communication in at least two of the three official languages 
• Good interpersonal skills 
• Must be able to work under pressure and stressful conditions 
• 2- 5 years relevant experience 
• Grade B examiner of driving license will be advantageous.

Duties will entail: 

• Enforce Road Traffic Act, Act 93/96 
• Enforce Municipal By-Laws 
• Enforce
• National Land Transport Act, Act 5/2009 
• Educate Scholars 
• Regulate and Control Traffic 
• Attend and give evidence in court 
• Attend accident scenes 
• Perform escort duties.
