    Transport Manager

    Purpose of the job

    • The Supply Chain CS&L Transport Manager plays a key role in leading the execution of Heineken Beverages’ overall transport objectives.
    • This role involves providing strategic input into the development of the transport strategy while ensuring accountability for cost reduction and the achievement of stringent transport performance metrics.
    • The position is aligned with the company’s transport, risk, safety, and environmental strategies to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction at optimal cost.
    • The Transport Manager will also foster a positive team culture, promote innovation, and drive results through effective leadership and team development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic input and contribute to the development of the transport strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and successful execution.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of middle- to junior-level managers, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting professional growth and skills development.
    • Drive accountability for transport cost management and reduction by leveraging optimization opportunities and identifying areas for improved efficiency.
    • Establish and monitor robust transport metrics and performance indicators to ensure optimal customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, and service excellence.
    • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the transport team, encouraging creative problem-solving and the adoption of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams—including Supply Chain, Production, Sales, and Customer Service—to align transport operations with broader business goals and customer needs.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with transport carriers, logistics service providers, and other key stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
    • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment.
    • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in transport management, integrating innovative solutions and driving ongoing improvement initiatives.
    • Champion a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused team culture that promotes open communication, teamwork, and operational excellence.

    Job Requirements: Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
    • 5-7 years minimum in Bulk Inbound, Primary, Secondary transport and Imports leadership roles – Strategy and Operational execution.
    • Proven track record of successful leadership in managing middle to junior managers in a transport or logistics environment.
    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to contribute to the development and execution of transport strategies.
    • Experience in managing cost reduction initiatives and achieving transport-related KPIs and metrics.
    • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service and satisfaction.
    • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive team culture, drive innovation, and promote continuous learning and development.
    • Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in transport management.
    • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Transport Management Systems to optimize operations.
