    Trust And Estates Bookkeeper(FN 68)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monthly bookkeeping including VAT calculations, creating statements and reports.
    • Manage payroll processes such as processing monthly salaries and weekly wages.
    • Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.

    Manage all SARS-related matters including:

    • Income tax returns, EMP201 & EMP501 reconciliations, VAT, diesel rebates, and other tax submissions.
    • Registration and administration of estates.
    • Handle appointments for various administrative purposes.
    • UIF registrations and submissions.
    • Manage CIPC submissions including annual returns and ownership declarations.
    • Coordinate and manage trusts and estates.
    • Liaise with the Deeds Office regarding trusts and estates.
    • Manage communication of cliënts.
    • Maintain debtor and creditor accounts.
    • Perform income and provisional tax calculations.
    • Manage SARS & Department of Labour audits.
    • Communicate regularly with clients, SARS, Department of Labour, and the Master of the High Court.

    Job Requirements:

    • BCom in Accounting or a related qualification.
    • Minimum 2–3 years’ relevant bookkeeping experience.
    • Professional membership with SAICA or SAIPA is an advantage.
    • Experience in compiling financial statements.
    • Experience with trusts and estate administration.
    • Experience with Sage, Draftworx, and Xero.
    • Experience with taking minutes of meetings.
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Experience in agricultural bookkeeping (crops and livestock).
    • Ability to work independently and maintain regular client communication.
