• Follows standardised processes and provides administrative support in line with normal business functioning

Specific Key Result Areas

• Accurately and timeously 
• screens and creates underwriting assessment cases
• send formal correspondence regarding underwriting decisions
• Responds to intermediaries, members and employers regarding underwriting statuses.
• Professionally communicates with medical and other service providers regarding requirements.
• Updates and maintain underwriting records on relevant systems (Chorus, Compass and GUS)

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric 
• Work experience in Group Assurance claims and underwriting processing 
• Experience working in a team with shared outputs
• Competent in use of Chorus (AWD), Compass and EMS 
• Computer literacy with knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver daily work targets 
• Sound analytical and problem solving ability with a focus on attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
