URBAN MOBILITY Head - Pavement Materials & Rehabilitation at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• A BSc degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ appropriate professional, technical and managerial experience to manage and co-ordinate professional staff and consultants within the Pavement Materials and Rehabilitation Section.

Key Performance Areas

• Responsible for all road rehabilitation and reconstruction projects
• Develop road materials specifications and rehabilitation/reconstruction strategies for the City’s road network
• Conduct research and formulate appropriate pavement and materials standards, policies and strategies
• Formulate and manage an integrated rehabilitation and reconstruction programme, operational/capital budget and tenders to facilitate the management of the City’s road network
• Provide technical input on Engineering designs and support districts with evaluation of design submissions
• Civil Engineering project management experience.
