    Vendor Manager

    • The Vendor Manager will interface directly with manufacturers and brands to build relationships and business opportunities.
    • Within this role, the individual will establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, and manage a P&L.
    • In addition, this position is expected to provide leadership across categories driving systems, process, and customer experience improvements that will benefit all customers at amazon.com.

    Key Job Responsibilities;

    The successful Vendor Manager must be able to:

    • Define a strategy for the business and break it down into actionable goals
    • Understand drivers and opportunities of the category P&L
    • Manage relationships with vendors
    • Institute best practices and processes which can be replicated across all categories
    • Lead change with cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines

    Basic Qualifications;

    • 3+ years of with Excel experience
    • 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
    • Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
    • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership

    Preferred Qualifications;

    • Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
    • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
