VP – Regional Banker, Development Organisations (DO)
The purpose of this role is to serve and ensure service to customers in the Development Organisation (DO) sector, by ensuring the growth, profitability and retention of business in that sector.
The Banker will need to identify transactional banking, financial markets and trade opportunities for Development Organistions in South Africa and ARO regions. As well as supporting the sector Citizenship initiatives.
7-10 years’ experience working in Corporate/Investment Banking in a client facing or front office sales role with specialisation in Development Organisations including International and local NGO’s, Embassies, Multilaterals, Universities, and Foundations.
The ideal candidate will have a post graduate degree and be a strategic thinker that is client centric and results driven. Must demonstrate the ability to lead through complex situations and to communicate and influence effectively.
A network and track record with Development Organisations is required, along with a passion for supporting these clients with their humanitarian mission across Africa.
Job Description
Own the relationships with the clients at a South Africa level, as well as the broader Regional led names
Establish, leverage, and maintain strategic relationships with clients and coordinate client relationships and interaction across South Africa and Regionally
Assume primary responsibility for understanding the client’s business at a strategic, tactical, and operational level regionally
Create a network of alliances and business partners with product areas to optimise and rapidly grow and promote client financing franchise
Create and maintain robust client management plans for the clients.
Develop relationships at a senior level within Development Organisations across the region
Support Sector Head, Development Organisation, in driving the DO strategy
