The Waiter is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service by providing attentive, professional, and personalized service to guests throughout their dining experience. The role manages a designated service section, accurately takes and processes orders, ensures the timely delivery of food and beverages, and maintains a thorough knowledge of menu items to make recommendations and respond to guest enquiries.
The position requires the ability to multitask effectively, prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure while maintaining high service standards. In addition to waiter responsibilities, the role is expected to perform the duties of a Busser and Food Runner, assisting with clearing and resetting tables, delivering food and beverages, maintaining table presentation, and supporting colleagues to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
The Waiter is responsible for monitoring guest needs, maintaining the sequence of service, communicating effectively with front-of-house and kitchen teams, handling service equipment confidently, and ensuring compliance with responsible alcohol service policies. The role also performs daily and weekly operational duties, supports teamwork across the restaurant, and contributes to delivering an outstanding guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and operational excellence.
