Warehouse Supervisor at West Coast Personnel

R18 000 – R20 000 per month, depending on experience

• We are recruiting an experienced, hands-on and highly organised Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, stock control, receiving, dispatch and staff performance.
• The successful candidate must be confident managing people, resolving stock discrepancies and ensuring that orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Stock Control 

• Supervise receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Allocate customer orders and monitor order fulfilment.
• Monitor stock movements, transfers and inventory accuracy. 
• Oversee imported, external warehouse and bonded stock.
• Manage damaged, returned and clearance stock.
• Maintain warehouse organisation and housekeeping. 

Inventory & Reconciliations

• Conduct weekly cycle counts.
• Assist with scheduled stocktakes.
• Investigate shortages, damages and discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate stock capturing.
• Prepare inventory and reconciliation reports.
• Liaise with Planning regarding stock availability and variances.

Staff Supervision

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse personnel.
• Allocate duties and monitor productivity.
• Manage attendance, timekeeping and timesheets.
• Conduct daily team briefings.
• Train staff on procedures and safety requirements.

Dispatch & Logistics

• Coordinate local deliveries, bulk dispatches and transfers.
• Verify stock against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Inspect incoming and returned stock.
• Ensure orders are correctly picked, packed and dispatched.
• Maintain accurate delivery records.
• Liaise with customers regarding deliveries and collections.

Administration & Compliance

• Prepare warehouse and KPI reports.
• Maintain warehouse documentation.
• Investigate customer claims.
• Coordinate with Finance, Sales, Planning and Customer Service.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven Warehouse Supervisor / Team Leader experience.
• Strong warehouse operations background.
• Receiving and dispatch experience.
• Staff supervision and productivity management.
• Inventory control, stocktaking and reconciliation skills.
• Logistics and delivery coordination experience.
• Good computer literacy.
• Experience with warehouse or stock-control systems.
• Strong reporting and administrative ability.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
