Weighbridge Clerk at RCL Foods

Job Description    

• RCL FOODS is seeking 2 Weighbridge Clerks to join the SHERQ team. The role will be based in Randfontein and reports to the SHE Manager.
• The Weighbridge Clerk's role is critical to ensure correct weight of loaded and unloaded trucks when entering or leaving the premises. All discrepancies to be reported to Shift Security Supervisor immediately and to ensure correct confirmation of all trucks is captured.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12.
• Working knowledge on MS Office.
• Knowledge of basic clerical, operational or customer service skills acquired through education, experience or on the job training.
• 1- 2 years relevant working experience.
• Effectively communicate with internal teams.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed verbal and written instructions and requests.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Weighing incoming trucks, both loaded and unloaded, by entering the truck and driver information into the system and saving the truck's weight.
• Entering the access number provided by security into the FlowCentric system.
• For outgoing trucks, finding the registration number in the system and capture it in FlowCentric.
• Confirming the loaded truck by entering the picklist number(s).
• Verifying the truck's weight with the document received from security for outgoing trucks with final products.
• Reporting any discrepancies (over or under weight) to the Shift Security Supervisor.
• Correcting the weight in the system if informed by the warehouse (GRS) of a short load.
• Completing pallet slips for each loaded truck, including the truck's registration number, customer details, TPT number, pallet quantity, and destination details.
• Send the access number to the Shift Security Supervisor to print invoices.
