    Customer Care Representative

    About the role:

    • Being a part of a fast growing international team that serves the need of global distributors regarding order fulfillment, invoicing and shipping of products. Manage order handling, product allocation, shipments creation, providing proper update and exceptional customer experience. 

    Your responsibilities include:

    • Manage Order-to-Cash for assigned global distributors; Process orders and organize shipments including requesting export documentation to deliver required products in time 
    • Ensure all shipments meet customer requirements regarding documentation, packaging and transportation while meeting the forwarder cut-off times.
    • Build strong relationships with customers and internal partners, like the commercial, operations, planning and finance team. Support regional sales force and Business Unit Managers.
    • Act as spider in the web, taking necessary action in close collaboration with different departments globally in order to secure smooth order processing and provide excellent customer service.
    • Contribute to continuously improving the service to customers and driving customer satisfaction.
    • Address specific customer requests and enquiries and liaise with internal stakeholders as needed. 
    • Communicate effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders to keep them informed of status of the process and orders.
    • Maintain a correct and updated administration.
    • Act as a team member in support of department objectives.
    • Process Product complaints and Service Incidents.
    • Ensure compliance to the applicable procedures, local legislation and OFAC/BIS licenses when applicable.

    What we are looking for:

    Must Have:

    • Education level: Bachelor (MBO+/HBO)
    • Customer Centric mindset 
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Multiyear experience in the area of Customer Service and Order-to-Cash process
    • Experience with SAP and Excel

    Nice to have:

    • Experience in handling Letter of Credit requirements

    Business Unit Manager, Endoscopy (South Africa)

    Purpose Statement

    • Work in line with corporate, regional and country sales strategies to plan, schedule and execute sales tactics in securing BSC Endoscopy product positioning, market penetration, training, and forecasting against market and sales plans. Reference marketing intelligence and research to properly strategize with sales team to capture and broaden BSC's Endoscopy market share. Drive the achievement of customer satisfaction and business growth through focused business planning and people management.
    • This position based  in Johannesburg requires extensive travel across South Africa (approximately three days per week) based on business and client requirements.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Running key process including Annual operating plan, strategic planning and forecasting for the SAF.
    • As member of Country Leadership team in South Africa and Divisional leadership team of Endoscopy, being the leader for driving the change in the country and in the region.
    • Driving alignment between division and region for planning and execution.
    • Coaching  sales teams and support them for their professional development.
    • Providing continuous tools and education to group members to ensure up to date industry, competitor and product knowledge.
    • Continually seeking information from physicians, suppliers, and others to challenge, modify and prioritize regional strategies.
    • Countering competitor sales strategies whilst collaborating closely with marketing.

    What are we looking for in you:

    • Successfully completed degree level studies within a relevant scientific or business-related subject are beneficial.
    • Industry experience working in a similar strategic sales and team management position within the clinical/medical device area.
    • Strong business acumen with experience delivering sales strategies, direct sales and marketing, product lifecycles, P&L, competition and market trend analysis.
    • Team management experience including direct reports and cross-functional leadership.  
    • Strong internal and external communication skills.
    • English language skills, both written and verbal, at a professional working proficiency level, or above.
    • Can rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.
    • Strong team player, collaborative, and can build relationships and work cross-functionally.
    • Self-motivated and can influence others.
    • Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent.

    Senior Business Development Specialist - Interventional Oncology

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Portfolio Management: Drive the commercial growth of the Cryoablation, TheraSphere, and Embolisation product lines by identifying new business opportunities and managing existing accounts in the South African market.
    • Technical Expertise & Support: Provide expert-level guidance on the application, usage, and benefits of interventional oncology products. Offer technical support for physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring optimal product usage.
    • Product Education: Deliver training and education on radiation therapy techniques, personalized dosimetry, and the safe use of radioactive materials associated with Boston Scientific’s products.
    • Market Insights & Strategy Development: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activity. Develop and execute business development strategies tailored to the South African healthcare market.
    • Clinical Liaison: Act as a liaison between clinical teams, sales teams, and leadership to ensure alignment of product offerings with the latest clinical guidelines and research in oncology.
    • Relationship Building: Foster and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare institutions, and regulatory bodies. Build a strong network in the oncology space to support business growth and influence decision-making.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards, particularly regarding the handling and use of radioactive materials. Work closely with regulatory agencies to ensure product compliance within the South African market.
    • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify high-value opportunities, assist with sales presentations, and support the conversion of leads into successful customer engagements.
    • Clinical Data and Outcomes: Stay informed on the latest clinical research and outcomes related to Cryoablation, TheraSphere, and Embolisation. Communicate evidence-based data to clients to support product adoption and usage.
    • Cross function collaboration: Collaborates with HEMA to remove barriers in accounts, cooperation with HS&P on account level, egg introduction and implementation of tools, e.g. Patient Identification

    Key Requirements:

    Education:

    • A degree in Radiation Therapy, Medical Physics, Oncology, or a related field is required.
    • Additional qualifications or certifications related to interventional oncology or radioactive materials handling would be advantageous.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oncology field, with a focus on interventional therapies, radiation therapy, or medical device sales.
    • Strong background in interpreting medical scans (CT, MRI, PET, etc.) and understanding imaging modalities as they relate to interventional oncology treatments.
    • Experience with the use of radioactive materials and personalized dosimetry, particularly in the context of oncology.

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • In-depth knowledge of oncology treatments, particularly in the areas of ablation, liver cancer therapies (such as SIRT/TARE), and embolization procedures.
    • Familiarity with dosimetric principles, including the use of personalized treatment plans for radiation therapy.
    • Strong understanding of South African healthcare regulations and the business landscape.
    • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
    • Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with healthcare professionals and business partners.
    • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and patient outcomes.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in the South African or broader African medical device market.
    • Advanced understanding of clinical trials, medical research, and evidence-based medicine in the context of oncology.
    • Multilingual skills are a plus, with the ability to communicate in both English and local languages.
