Media Sales Executive at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• A leading brand in the South African interior design, décor, and architecture sectors is seeking an upbeat, energetic, and sophisticated Media Sales Executive to join their team in Gardens, Cape Town. This role focuses on driving print and digital advertising sales, building relationships at executive level, and representing our brand at premier industry trade shows and events.

Responsibilities:

• Sales & Business Development: Drive advertising sales across integrated print and digital channels, including:
• Supplier profile pages for key décor suppliers
• Digital display banners
• Social media campaigns
• Targeted newsletter features
• Print publication inclusions
• Client Engagement: Conduct high-level client consultations primarily via Zoom, with regular virtual pitches and boardroom-level negotiations.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term, high-value relationships with key décor suppliers, manufacturers, agencies, and industry professionals.
• Travel & Client Visits:
• Occasional travel to Gauteng (approx. once every two months for ~3 days at a time).
• Potential travel to other major national centres as required.
• Trade Shows & Events: Represent SA Décor & Design at major industry décor shows and events across South Africa throughout the year.
• Performance Reporting: Utilize Google Analytics, backend/frontend web metrics, and digital performance reporting to communicate campaign ROI and value to clients.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Matric qualification required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ proven media, advertising, or event sales experience within a similar environment (strict requirement).
• Communication: Exceptional telephonic, online meeting (Zoom), and face-to-face presentation skills.
• Self-Management: Highly self-motivated, proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• Experience in Décor media, design industry, or event sales within a digital environment.
• Solid understanding of digital marketing principles.
• Familiarity with basic backend and frontend website architecture, Google Analytics, and digital campaign performance reporting.
• Target- and deadline-driven mindset with a track record of achieving sales quotas.
• Sophisticated, professional demeanor aligned with the high-end décor and luxury lifestyle brand profile.
