Key Responsibilities: 

• To comply with policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of policies, participating in training sessions and sourcing answers to any queries daily and as required.
• To comply with processes by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of processes, implementing the correct process and addressing any areas of concern daily.
• To propose improvements to processes by identifying an area for improvement, presenting to line manager and providing additional information as relevant.
• To complete engineering and maintenance planning by defining plans in line with work management process and section/department priorities, reviewing to confirm optimal sweating of assets and cost effectiveness, tracking adherence to of plans and escalating non-compliance within deadlines.
• To complete planning adherence schedules and reports per section/department by gathering data, reviewing in line with work plans and scheduling/reporting in defined templates by deadlines
• To implement new methodologies and technologies by attending training, implementing changes, tracking and providing feedback on successes and challenges within deadlines
• To place Purchase Requisitions and Reservations for required spares and requirements by receiving order, submitting through procurement processes, tracking delivery and receipt into stores as required
• To implement SHE practices by understanding required actions, implementing and reviewing within deadline or as per process.
• To comply with SHE standards, processes and practices by maintaining knowledge and expertise in SHE and always complying with requirements.
• To maintain stakeholder relationships by liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, providing input and feedback actions, receiving feedback and contributions and collaborating as required.
• To maintain relationships with service providers by understanding and tracking service levels required and monitoring delivery against standards, identifying areas of concern and implementing corrective action monthly and as required.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 with Math’s and Science (Must)
• N3 level, Qualified trade certificate.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years within a work management process environment
• 3-5 years’ experience within an operations environment
• 5 years planning experience
• SAP Planned Maintenance Module

Description

• Assist mine personnel on on-the-job training (Technical support on DDS™ equipment & Charging-up).
• Provide information regarding Health & Safety of Enaex equipment to mine and Enaex employees.
• Assist mine personnel on on-the-job training (Technical support on DDS™ equipment & Charging-up).
• Assist Service Technician in maintenance of DDS™ Equipment.
• Density checks and records.
• Day to day inspections and minor repairs on DDS™ equipment.
• Oversee mine trained employee to do daily checklist. Mine employee to hand checklist to his mine supervisor.
• First responder to breakdowns (All minor issues on shift).
• Reporting on levels of DDS™ emulsions and delivery dates for emulsion.
• Offloading of the DDS ™ delivery tanker & weighbridge notes sign.
• Reporting on spares used and stock level to Service Technician.
• Report of spillages to mine personnel to arrange for clean-up.
• Report status of good housekeeping around silos to mine.
• Daily reporting of findings in underground workings to Section Mine Overseer / Shift boss / Miner with regards to   - charging-up and drilling on the working areas he visited.
• Communication with service Technician on status of DDS™ equipment.
• Breakdown reports and feedback to M/O , HFO , Service Technician.
• Follow up on recommendations and implementation of proposals.
• Identify incorrect charging up practices.
• Conduct blast surveys according to the designed criteria..
• Demonstrate the charging up and connecting of all Enaex explosives products.
• Apply the use of the product as per the product application training.
• Apply the safe handling, storage and transport of explosives
• Ensure correct PPE is used, as well as that PPE is in good condition and correctly worn/used.
• Maintain housekeeping of work area.
• Identify workplace hazards and associated risks and deal with it appropriately (Hirac & Risk Assessment).
• Knowledge of relevant hand tools.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Comply with the Mine’s safety and health procedures.
• Attend the mine’s induction training.
• Maintain basic safety, health and environmental issues.
• Assess the product application practices.
• Identify incorrect product application practices.
• Demonstrate and coach the correct practices.
• Adhere to Enaex code of practice and procedures.
• Adhere to mine Health & Safety requirements.

Requirements

• Grade 12.
• Underground Blasting Assistant Certificate and Competent B for underground is an advantage.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Valid medical fitness certificate for UG Mines.

Experience:

• 2-3 years working experience in underground.

• Unlock synergies in the region from knowledge sharing to identify low hanging fruit for early profitable business growth.
• Provide Sales and Technical support for the MTi product line and assist in the development of region relevant marketing tools.
• Look for opportunities to growth the product portfolio starting with Enaex sites. Communicate new product ideas/improvements with Australian Product Dev Team.
• Engage and lead customer-facing activities driving sales to include customer presentations, sales and necessary support of key accounts.
• Provide technical, application & sales support, to both Enaex site teams and customers including providing product knowledge for customers at client sites.
• Gain a strong understanding of the customer's requirements and application needs on a technical level so as to ensure the most suitable solution is being proposed.
• Resolve customer technical issues to high customer satisfaction.
• Identify likely areas of emerging MTi products and propose application solutions to product management.
• Develop case studies for technical presentations at industry events or for marketing purposes to solicit similar business.
• Build and foster strong customer and supplier relationships.
• Record and communicate customers pain points as well as maintaining the customer data in CRM that MTi and Enaex rely on for decision making.

Requirements
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in sales to mining customers with an understanding of open pit and underground mining.
• Strong technical background, with developed knowledge of products and markets within the mining industry.
• Highly developed communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to write technical reports in English.
• Experience in SAP and Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Degree or Diploma (3 Years) with (Mathematics and Engineering Science).
• 3 to 5 years related experience.
• Opencast/Underground Blasting Certificate.
• Valid drivers licence.
• Experienced traveller and prepared to work out in the field.

Departmental / operational planning and management

• To contribute to the departmental operations plan in understanding the strategy, developing the plan including all projects and key performance measures and submitting plans for approval annually and as required.

• To contribute to the overall compliance of Enaex Africa with local and corporate requirements.

Policy and procedure (including process and systems) management

• To contribute to the development and implementation of departmental business processes by overseeing process mapping, assessing efficiencies and appropriateness of processes, monitoring compliance, identifying anomalies and implementing corrective action as required 
• To develop departmental policies and procedures by understanding good practices, regulatory and compliance requirements and methods, developing policies and submitting for approval as required

Activities

• To maintain laboratory and subject matter expertise by developing analytic laboratory procedures and test methods, maintaining and complying with intellectual property guidelines and protocols, attending forums and reviewing related research articles, collating insights and recommendations, integrating and sharing to support continual improvement as required.
• To complete research and development processes and projects to improve efficiency and product offerings by identifying opportunities, defining hypothesis, presenting, implementing approved research and development initiatives, reporting on outcomes and implementing successful outcomes as required.
• To provide client services support on technical queries by investigating, completing analysis and testing, identifying causes, presenting feedback and advice and resolving within the deadline. 
• To fulfil product stewardship objectives by creating and maintaining SDS’s, revising and maintaining compliant authorization certificates, fulfilling authorization and certification testing and administration requirements, completing technical reports and maintaining the database at all times and as scheduled.  

Budget and financial management

• To develop budgets by understanding operational requirements, drafting budget and submitting for approval annually and as required 
• To manage expenditure by tracking spend against budget, reviewing and approving costs, identifying areas of under- or over-spend and assist in implementing corrective action monthly and as required

Risk management

• To monitor security and disaster recovery of departmental information by reviewing measures in place, identifying risks and implementing mitigating measures as required
• To manage the departmental risk by developing the departmental risk management framework, overseeing the population and maintenance of the framework, reviewing risk management strategies, identifying areas for improvement and driving implementation quarterly and as required  

SHE management

• To effectively manage SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) by ensuring that: SHE is implemented by ensuring comprehensive training is provided, the training program is completed, and any gaps or noncompliance identified during training are promptly addressed.
• SHE is monitored by establishing clear monitoring requirements and standards, ensuring all monitoring activities are completed on time, and resolving identified issues promptly within established deadlines.
• SHE compliance is maintained by regularly reviewing SHE practices, identifying areas of noncompliance, and addressing them efficiently within set timelines.

Stakeholder management (including internal, external, client and service provider)

• To manage stakeholder relationships by liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, providing input and feedback actions, receiving feedback and contributions and collaborating as required 
• To engage with industry stakeholders by identifying key points of impact and discussion, representing the organization and providing input into industry related initiatives and imperatives, supporting industry related initiatives and addressing any industry related concerns or challenges as required

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
• BEng / BSc in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) (GMR 2.1 legal appointment).
• Post graduate qualification in Business Management preferred.
• 10 to 15 years in maintenance and infrastructure management.
• 8 to 10 years in Mining maintenance and infrastructure management (specifically mobile equipment, electrical systems and equipment and fleet management).
