Purpose of position

Purpose of position

Purpose of position
- Aligns the ICT strategies and operations with business strategies through facilitating the achievement of technology and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops IT policies, governance framework, plans and budgets.
- Compile and manage the technology strategy in alignment with the business strategy.
- Directing the development and implementation of Information and Systems Architectures to support GEP business objectives and goals.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of Enterprise technology standards to ensure compatibility and integration (e.g. multivendor platforms).
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining recovery plans and testing regularly; ensuring accurately documented configuration of critical business systems and availability of recovery plans to user departments
- Monitoring and evaluating infrastructure and applications regularly in line with industry standards and reporting results to executive management
- Defining and implementing the IT Operations Architecture (IT Infrastructure and support) to satisfy and support business needs and requirements.
- Ensuring all systems are documented, documentation is up-to-date, and all user departments comply with requirements
- Reporting on IT performance to Board, Board Committees and Executive Management
- Manages and oversees the performance effectiveness of IT personnel
- Prepares monthly reports on the Unit’s overall operations against the Annual Performance Plan
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology /Computer Science
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in in ICT and Enterprise Architecture Environment with 3 years at Management Level.
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships with managed service providers, hardware and software vendors, consultants, and internal ICT resources
- Working knowledge and experience of DevOps (development/project management/active team participation) within the Microsoft Technology Stack, particularly some/all of the following:
- Azure
- SQL Server
- Office 365
- SharePoint On-Premise / Online
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- A valid Code EB driver’s licence and own car
