    Senior Civil Engineer - Water/Sanitation/Stormwater/Wastewater/EPANET

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conceptualise, guide and manage R&D projects within the water value-chain infrastructure.
    • Develop Asset Care management documentation.
    • Development of strategic water infrastructure planning documentation.
    • Design of water distribution network, water and wastewater infrastructure.
    • Undertake research in the development and application of hydraulic models for water distribution networks.
    • Utilise standard software for design, assessment, optimization, re-engineering of water and wastewater infrastructure.
    • Manage project life cycle, technical resources, scheduling of activities to meet client expectations, balancing competing demands on scope, time, cost and quality.

    Qualifications, Skills and experience:

    • A BEng or Hons degree (NQF8) in civil engineering with at least ten years experience in the field of water engineering.
    • Five to eight years experience in design of water and wastewater infrastructure.
    • Registration with ECSA (Pr Eng/ Pr Tech/Pr Techni/Candidate Eng)
    • Experience in working with public sector clients (e.g. municipalities, water boards, government departments)
    • Experience in developing and/or updating operations and maintenance plans for water and wastewater infrastructure.
    • Experience in water conservation and water demand management (non-revenue water programs) in the municipal space.
    • Experience in construction project management for water and wastewater infrastructure.
    • Practical knowledge and application of hydraulic modelling is essential.
    • Proven track record in project management and research project leadership.
    • Must have a valid driver's licence.

    Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Efficient refrigeration plants operating at optimal levels
    • Heat exchangers chilling the water to temperatures at correct flow rates as per setting
    • Cold storage rooms maintaining the required temperatures

    REQUIREMENTS: SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Artisan – Industrial Refrigeration Trade Test. (Other trade qualification acceptable when supported with the appropriate refrigeration training and experience.)
    • Certified to work in ammonia refrigeration plants
    • 5 years’ experience in ammonia refrigeration plants and relevant equipment
    • 5 years’ experience in Freon refrigeration systems, including air conditioning systems (service and installation)
    • Must have well established electric knowledge and skills especially on control circuits
    • Must work well in a multi-disciplinary team
    • Must have a working knowledge of planned maintenance systems

    Laser Welding Engineer

    • In this role you will have the responsibility to develop and define laser welding and laser weld overlay (laser cladding) procedures for industry projects, to qualify welding procedures and develop weld procedure specifications on industry projects.
    • You will need to ensure compliance of the welding and cladding processes with the applicable standards. You will also be involved in overseeing welding processes, monitoring of weld process quality, setting up welding tasks which include programming responsibilities for the robotic based laser welding / laser cladding systems.
    • This position is based in Gauteng, however the successful incumbent will be expected to travel nationally for client consultation and for off-site work.

    Requirements:

    • A BEng honour degree in Engineering.
    • Certifications/qualifications in the following areas of competence will be advantageous;
    • Registered as an International Welding Engineer (IWE)
    • At least five year’s work experience in the field of laser welding or conventional welding technology, where six to ten years’ experience in welding technology will be advantageous;
    • During the above years of experience, the incumbent should have evidence of at least three years’ working experience:
    • In weld process development and qualification with applicable welding standards;
    • With robotic manipulators and the kinematics related to robotic manipulators;
    • Experience with Kuka robot programming experience will be advantageous;
    • In the development of Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), and the steps necessary to develop a WPS.

    Competencies:

    • Analytical thinking, flexibility and adaptability, Investigative orientation, planning & organising, problem solving, verbal and written communication, self-management, system level thinking and multi-disciplinary knowledge;

    Operational requirements include:

    • Driver’s licence Code EC will be advantageous.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see colour.
    • Physical requirements include standing and sitting for long periods
    • Regular medical check-ups, which are required for off-site work (client Safety requirements)

    Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer (Process Plant – design to Commissioning) - Isando

    • As an Electrical and instrumentation Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing and commissioning electrical and instrumentation systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and project managers to ensure that projects meet technical specifications, budget constraints and project deadlines.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Grade 12 Matriculation (Requirement)
    • NDip or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Requirement)
    • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role and industry.
    • Proficiency in CAD software for schematic design
    • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEEE)
    • Adaptability to changing priorities and project requirements
    • Exceptional time-management and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Electrical and instrumentation engineering and design reticulation pertaining to process plants according to project specifications.
    • Create Schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation for electrical systems.
    • Estimating, selecting, and procuring equipment and material as per project and client requirements and specifications.
    • Inspecting and, testing and verifying all electrical equipment confirms to the approved design documentation.
    • Commissioning electrical and instrumentation systems according to project-based control and commissioning procedures to ensure system integration and correct functionality.
    • Collaborate with construction teams and contractors to ensure proper installation and integration of electrical components.

    Intermediate Project Engineer (EPC/SMPP Projects)

    • As an Intermediate Project Engineer (EPC/SMPP Projects), you'll be at the forefront of project excellence, collaborating closely with Senior Project Managers and Engineers. Championing technical brilliance throughout every phase of project implementation.
    • Playing a pivotal role in design contribution and meticulous production of project documentation.
    • Managing equipment specifications and selections within project boundaries.
    • Actively engaging with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure flawless project execution.
    • Upholding meticulous records and reports to keep projects on track.
    • A National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

    Key Requirements:

    Technical Engineering:

    • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, and reports.
    • Contribute to technical excellence of the project in engineering deliverable development.
    • Equipment specifications, adjudication and selections in line with project requirements, quality and budget.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution, particularly at construction/assembly phase.
    • Conduct regular fabrication site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Proven experience in project engineering, preferably in the capital equipment or process industry.
    • Strong technical background with knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with suppliers and team members.
    • Solid organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Continuously finding new ways to innovate to improve performance and streamline project engineering.
