    Brand Manager: UK/EU, Aggregator & Expansion Markets

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Regional Brand Leadership

    • Own and evolve a region-specific brand strategy that reflects diaspora motivations, lived realities, regulatory complexity and competitive dynamics.
    • Act as the regional brand custodian, ensuring Mukuru’s Explorer archetype, tone of voice and values show up consistently and authentically.
    • Lead market-entry and expansion brand roadmaps for new geographies, aggregators and emerging segments.

    Brand Positioning & Messaging

    • Translate global positioning into locally relevant narratives that are inspiring, inclusive, uplifting and sincere.
    • Craft compelling value propositions across Mukuru’s ecosystem—transfers, card, wallet, insurance, savings and future services.
    • Own regional messaging guidelines and ensure consistent application across campaigns, partnerships and channels.

    Customer & Market Insight

    • Produce deep-dive market intelligence on diaspora behaviour, remittance sentiment, category shifts and competitor innovation.
    • Build continuous insight loops via community engagement, customer feedback, agents, analytics and social listening.
    • Identify underserved diaspora clusters and growth opportunities within the UK/EU and expansion markets.

    Brand & Product Campaigns

    • Lead 360° regional campaigns from concept to execution—balancing creativity with performance.
    • Partner closely with Digital, Performance, CRM and Content teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
    • Oversee A/B testing, brand lift studies and post-campaign reporting to inform future optimisation.

    Partnerships & Community Presence

    • Build trusted relationships with diaspora organisations, cultural groups, influencers, ethnic retailers and community leaders.
    • Support aggregator partnerships through tailored co-marketing strategies and co-branded executions.
    • Strengthen Mukuru’s on-the-ground credibility, visibility and trust within diaspora communities.

    What You Bring

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Marketing, Brand, Business or related field.

    Experience

    • 4+ years' experience in brand management or marketing, ideally across multiple markets.
    • Proven experience working with multicultural or diaspora audiences.
    • Background in fintech, payments, financial services or consumer brands is highly advantageous.

    Business Intelligence Analyst

    • We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our BI team. If you love solving problems with data, thrive in a collaborative environment, and enjoy seeing your insights drive business growth — this role is for you.

    What You’ll Do

    • Partner with teams across the business to turn data into actionable insights.
    • Translate business needs into scalable data models, reports, and dashboards.
    • Ensure data quality and reliability while designing robust reporting solutions.
    • Create intuitive visualizations and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Empower users with self-service BI tools and provide training where needed.
    • Stay ahead of BI trends, tools, and best practices to keep our solutions future-ready.

    What You’ll Bring

    • A qualification in a quantitative field (Maths, Stats, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
    • 2+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.
    • Strong SQL and data modelling skills (Kimball experience a plus).
    • Hands-on expertise with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).
    • Advanced Excel skills and exposure to R or Python (bonus points!).
    • A curious, commercially-minded approach — you don’t just analyse data, you ask why it matters.

    Bonus Skills

    • Experience in financial services, retail, or high-growth tech businesses.
    • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift).

    High Risk KYC Verifications Officer (Mandarin Speaking)

    • An opportunity has become available for a Mandarin speaking KYC Verification Officer to join our Verifications Team in Cape Town. This role will report to the KYC Verifications Team Lead and will predominantly support our Chinese corridor and clients.
    • Internal Liaison takes place with the Agents and the Contact Centre. External liaison takes place with external customers.

    Duties and Responsibilities (include but is not limited to):

    • To verify and validate documentation and information supplied by customers when signing up for new accounts
    • Keep up to date on any process and regulatory changes
    • To report any suspicious activities on customer accounts
    • To make outbound calls to customers in order to carry out security checks in assigned corridors
    • To aid the verification team as and when required
    • To uphold and maintain daily and monthly targets
    • To always provide good customer service
    • To uphold the company brand
    • To manage own professional and self-development

    Key Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
    • 2 years KYC Experience (Essential)
    • Understanding and speaking of Mandarin / other relevant Asian language (Essential)
    • Knowledge of money transfer procedures
    • Knowledge of KYC regulations
    • Knowledge of AML and Fraud
    • Knowledge of KYC rules and processes
