    Associate Social Media Marketer

    Why this role is exciting:

    Join an exciting Marketing team based in Cape Town which services our entire global tech company. Our market leading brand allows for some conceptual and creative social thinking, as we create a new category in the tech space.

    Work with local designers and web developers in the team, and report to the Social Media Marketing Manager, as well as working with the rest of the Marketing team based across Cape Town, New York, Santa Barbara, London and Sydney.

    Responsibilities:

    • Field daily community management queries and complaints across social platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
    • Schedule social content plans (spreadsheets), and occasionally create basic decks in google slides
    • Uploading content across social media platforms (Hootsuite), website (Wordpress), video (YouTube and Wistia) and email signature marketing platform
    • Be the bridge between social and other departments such as content marketing across daily content administration duties
    • Research potential social contributors (within the business and external influencers)
    • Build a brand-relevant imagery library, and own the selecting and resizing of relevant blog imagery 
    • Monitor analytics and ad stats, and collate analytics information that drives proactive decision making

    Does this sound like you?

    • 2-3 years experience as a social media community manager
    • Experience in managing social media on behalf of clients
    • Must know the difference between B2C and B2B
    • Marketing degree/ social media diploma or similar in a relevant field

    Excellent opportunity to join an agile finance team in Cape Town, working within the centralised accounting and finance function of the global group. 

    Responsibilities: 

    • Under supervision, responsible for the collation, manipulation and processing of billing data from the billing system into the accounting system.
    • Perform bank reconciliations of the Global Clearing House bank accounts on a weekly/daily basis.
    • Perform monthly close processes for accounting activities allocated to you, ensuring that these areas are closed accurately and timeously in line with Finance objectives - these responsibilities will include:
      • Aggregation and manipulation of multiple sources of data from the billing system in order to process the appropriate Revenue and Accounts Receivable journals into the accounting system
      • Processing of Global Clearing House related accounting journals
      • Assist in the process of intercompany journals
      • Reconciling Bank Accounts to the General Ledger
    •  Collaborate and support the broader finance function with requests/projects as and when these fall due.

    Why this role is exciting:

    As an Impact Engineer, working on the SaaS Platform, you will drive and take ownership of various technologies to build features, enabling large-scale processing of data supporting Impact Products. This person is part of an Agile / Scrum team and is expected to mentor squad members.  This role assumes a certain independent capability to investigate and learn new technologies for the platform, subsequently providing recommendations to various teams backed by solid understanding of the value a technology would provide. The engineer is responsible for delivering quality code and software solutions that meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, test and maintain software for the Platform
    • Build meaningful unit, functional and integration level tests for the software built
    • Collaborate with a distributed team to fulfill the department's quarterly objectives
    • Develop code both independently and while pair programming
    • Write and maintain design, user and test documentation
    • Become familiar with technologies used on the squad
    • Perform triage functionality through verification and fixing of bugs
    • Build customer and non customer facing code
    • Support software testing and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
    • Create SQL for Tech Updates and ensure this is ready for review
    • Keeps technically abreast of trends and advancements within area of specialization, incorporating these improvements where applicable
    • Review business needs, requirements, technical specifications
    • Respond to alerts, review error messages, and fix bugs in a timely manner
    • Mentor and give guidance to less senior staff to grow careers
    • Perform code reviews

    Does this sound like you?

    • Completed B.S. In Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience
    •  JavaScript front and back end experience, preferably with NodeJS
    • Experience / Exposure to Java would be preferable
    • 4+ years Software Development, front and back end
    • Agile / Iterative processes. Kanban / Scrum
    • Knowledge of Relational Databases, Table design, SQL
    • TDD experience
    • Continuous Integration / Delivery methods, tooling, integrations
    • Experience working with Large Scale processing

    Exciting opportunity for a qualified Tax Specialist to join the global leader in Partnership Automation as a Global Tax Manager. You will form part of our agile finance team in Cape Town with global responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions, specifically the USA, as well as UK, Germany, Singapore, China, Australia, Japan, and Brazil.

    Join us if you are looking to progress your understanding of international tax and gain exposure to the commercial finance and operations of a large multinational SaaS company. This role reports into the Finance and Operations Leader based in Cape Town.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Develop and maintain the global tax compliance register and calendar
    • Ensure all filings are completed timeously and submitted within the deadline to the requisite regulatory bodies
    • Partner with our global tax service providers to ensure our on-going compliance with all local taxation laws and regulations, transaction and corporate taxes in each location
    • Prepare the taxation provisions to be reported in the monthly and annual accounts
    • Responsibility for tax computations including deferred tax and return to providing analysis for financial reporting purposes on a quarterly and annual basis
    • Preparation of the necessary disclosure of the tax and deferred tax balances in the annual financial statements
    • Assisting our global tax consultants in developing an effective Transfer Pricing policy and helping to ensure the operationalisation of that policy
    • Provision of tax advice (tax opinions) on corporate restructuring, M&A activity, capital gain tax, cross border transactions
    • Perform high level reviews of Sales and Use taxes, Employees’ tax, in conjunction with local service providers.

    Does this sound like you?

    • CA(SA) or Masters in Tax or HDip (post-grad diploma in taxation) preferred
    • CA with part-qualified Masters/HDip looking to complete their studies
    • Experience with US sales/use tax issues would be preferred
    • Interest in working as part of an international team across time zones and regions
    • A positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new processes and procedures
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
    • Ability to work as a team player and to work with minimal supervision
