    Supply Planner (EDE)

    Introduction

    • Clicks is looking to recruit a Supply Planner. The Purpose of this role is to effectively execute the inventory strategy in assigned categories to manage inventory flow into DC’s and out to stores thereby ensuring optimum inventory levels.

    Job description

    Job objectives 

    • To effectively develop and achieve replenishment plans based on establishing and maintaining business rules for lead times, safety stock, network, etc. and setting all replenishment parameters
    • To effectively manage and monitor budgets, receipt and inventory flow
    • To effectively validate monthly forecast and manage open to buy budget
    • To achieve Infill and DC Availability metrics
    • To work with vendors and the DC on capacity planning in order to manage cost to serve
    • To provide forward visibility into all replenishment and ordering requirements both DC and store to minimize stock-outs and/or inventory overruns
    • To drive maintaining the distribution network, safety stock levels, and improving customer service by making the product available to meet the demands throughout the distribution network
    • To review and act on out of stocks, anticipated out of stocks and low stocks Clicks Group
    • To work with the Demand Planner to create a match between supply and demand
    • To review causal data and determine reasons for inventory overages, underage’s, excess, and aged stock and resolve with relevant stakeholder
    • To review promotional activities while in-flight to determine opportunities
    • To review and approve purchase orders and place manual purchase orders as necessary
    • To ensure sufficient knowledge of all inventory locations and be able to source products from alternate locations to meet demand (deployment)
    • To ensure continuous supplier reviews based on on-time and in full and engage to ensure corrective measures are taken
    • To collaborate with buyers, demand planners, suppliers, stores, warehousing, and transportation on inventory flow opportunities to drive cost savings and improved stock efficiency
    • To ensure effective people management and development

    Minimum requirements

    • Job related knowledge

    • Industry insight related to supply chain management, inventory management and vendor relationship management.

    Promotions Planner

    Introduction

    • To drive promotional and statistical forecasting accuracy across an allocated portfolio by partnering closely with Merchandising, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    Promotional Forecasting & Demand Planning

    • Deliver accurate demand forecasts - Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for promotional forecasting accuracy within the allocated portfolio.
    • Develop, review, and continuously improve promotional demand forecasts to support business targets.
    • Analyse promotional performance and recommend forecast volume changes to merchandising teams.
    • Capture and maintain accurate forecast adjustments on a daily basis.

    Inventory & Supply Collaboration

    • Partner with Supply Planning to ensure optimized inventory levels, focusing on promotional activity.

    • Identify risks and opportunities early by proactively highlight gaps to plan and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks or capture upside potential.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate with Category Managers to improve promotional planning and forecasting outcomes.
    • Contribute to category SIOP meetings by reviewing upcoming promotions, supplier lead times, and future risks/opportunities.
    • Ensure alignment to critical path deadlines impacting promotional forecasting within the portfolio.
    • Support the Demand Planning team in achieving total forecasting accuracy targets through weekly and monthly reviews.
    • Support continuous improvement. Use analytics, performance tracking (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias), and feedback loops to refine demand planning processes and tools.

    Reporting & Analysis

    • Generate promotional forecasting reports and performance insights.
