Purpose Statement

• To independently investigate instances of risk related to various types of complex fraud incidents across Capitec Bank (e.g. internal corruption, serious breach of policies and procedures, and criminal syndicates) including investigating the matter, the parties involved and provide appropriate evidence for disciplinary hearings and/or criminal proceedings. Identify potential control weaknesses and recommend preventative measures, improvements and training initiatives against potential fraud to Capitec Bank.  Provide subject matter expertise, technical know-how, experience, oversight and guidance for others in respect of a portfolio, function or department.

Experience

Minimum:

• At least 6 years’ experience as a Forensic Investigator/Auditor.

Ideal:

• At least 6 years’ experience in Banking Crime investigation.

Qualifications (Minimum)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Law or Finance

• A relevant degree in Finance or Law

Knowledge

Minimum:

Our ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor’s degree in risk and Compliance or Commerce
• 5 or more years’ experience in Risk Management and/or Internal/ External Auditing.
• Proven experience in a governance and oversight capacity, e.g. IT Governance, IT Audit or Information Security
• Experience applying/ Basic understanding of relevant risk methodologies and IT/ Cyber Security control frameworks, e.g. COBIT, ISF, ISO, NIST, ITIL, COSO, DAMA, DM-BOK
• Experience in performing risk and control assessments and experience in information risk management
• Experience in IT risk management including information security
• General business acumen and Banking industry experience and knowledge
• Understanding of IT/ Cyber Security and Cloud Computing

Purpose Statement

About the role

• To design, develop and deploy reporting and analytical solutions to support and enhance business decisions through processing and converting data into actionable insights, delivered in report form, using the Capitec reporting and analytical tools (software) of choice.

Our ideal candidate has:

Minimum:  

• At least 4 years’ experience implementing innovative BI solutions leading to clear business decisions and benefits, including
• At least 4 years’ experience in data analysis, including experience in and understanding of database structure design and data extraction principles (ETL). 
• At least 4 years’ experience working with any visualisation tools of which 2 years is on Power BI (DAX, M) 
• At least 4 years' experience in SQL (Postgres, MySql, MS SQL) which involved cleaning, enriching, transforming , data mapping, data aggregation, and data normalization that is suitable for data analysis.
• Working with product development life cycle and Agile frameworks
• Experience managing projects own work and initiatives from start to finish, including planning, scoping, budgeting, and timeline management.

Ideal:

• Data analysis methodologies or BI development in a various industries (i.e. financial/banking environment including financial, insurance, telecommunications and risk industries)
