    Category Head: Foodservices & Bakery - Cape Town

    What You Have Done Before

    •  8 years Category buying management experience within the FMCG environment. 
    •  NQF level 7 (Retail or Business-related degree) 
    •  Experience sourcing the following products (Bakery & Food Services) 
    •  Understanding of food services/QSR/Hospitality industry and product categories prevalent in the South African retail landscape. 
    •  Deep knowledge of retail principles with in-depth understanding of category management. 
    •  Entrepreneurial - ability to initiate and co-create innovative and viable business plans. 
    •  Highly efficient in the use of analytical and financial applications. 
    •  Proven ability to co-ordinate and delivering the category operating plan. 
    •  Proven sourcing and stakeholder management experience and knowledge of store operations, customer profiles, locations & competitors.

    What You Will Be Doing
    COMMERCIAL STRATEGY: 

    •  Develop and Drive the Commercial strategy & manage key strategic supplier relationships 
    •  Design and develop new customer acquisition strategies with Trade planning and Marketing 
    •  Establish all risk and governance processes by concluding memorandums of Agreements with Selected manufacturers. 

    STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: 

    •  Manage relations with internal customers, contractors/service providers and external stakeholders. 
    •  Develop & drive compliance to HSEQ policies/procedures related to Bakery & Food Services 
    •  Develop and contract the Heads of Agreement with all Bakery & Food Service Manufacturers
    •  Develop Standard Operating Practices, policy and procedure for all Bakery & Food Servies categories 

    PRODUCT PROCUREMENT AND SOURCING: 

    •  Develop and Drive an in -house solution for Bakery & Food Services Pre-packaged foods 
    •  Develop a Category management Policy and Process including market insight, business partnering, negotiation and on-going supplier management 
    •  Optimize the distribution network  

    MERCHANDISE PLANNING AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN: 

    •  Develop the Convenience Category Management Capability 
    •  Develop and implement the Best in Class Store Operations solutions for the network  
    •  Develop and Establish Engen’s Food supply chain Solution 

    TRADE PLANNING: 

    •  Develop and drive the Trade Promotion Planning and Marketing strategies 
    •  Drive the achievement of increased customer spend
    •  Drive the understanding of customer data analytics, market research and loyalty data   

    FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: 

    •  Develop and Drive the forecast of annual budget
    •  Develop and Drive the successful implementation of the Bakery & Food Services sub departments OPEX plan to manage planned vs actual expenses for the department 
    •  Develop and Drive the successful implementation of the Annual Capex requirements for Groceries and Non-Foods sub departments.

    Purpose of the Job

    To transport finished products over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers in order to meet delivery schedules and customer needs as per agreed SLA's.

    Reconciliation Accountant - Cape Town

    Purpose of the Job

    To perform reconciliations by ensuring that reconciling items are followed up on and resolved on time thereby ensuring accurate financial records enabling informed business decisions

    Accounting activities

    • Ensure that all accounting journal entries are processed timeously and accurately.
    • Ensure daily bank accounting activities are timeously captured, reconciled, and cleared.

    ACB Monitoring

    • Monitoring daily collections, ensuring all collections are actioned and follow up with stakeholder.

    Query logging and resolution

    • Ensure that all queries are logged and resolved within the set SLA.
