    Production Engineer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Quality control

    • Assist and support in day-to-day production quality control.
    • Investigate problems, analyze root causes through team collaboration and derive resolutions by using problem solving tools.
    • Improvement projects related to QC.
    • Continues improvement and Lean implementation.
    • Roll out of Internal Lean production processes.
    • Develop process improvements to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production.
    • Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum production.
    • Assist with developing standard operating procedures and equipment specifications for production activities where needed.
    • Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. Train Production teams on Lean tools - Train the trainer.

    Drawings

    • Ensure production equipment drawings, specifications and documentation are completed to standard.
    • Factory layouts (2D)
    • Mechanical drawings
    • Manuals, specifications

    Contractors

    • Negotiate costs.
    • Manage contractor safety documentation.
    • Ensure all contractors working on NCM sites are following safe practices.
    • Manage timeous and proper execution of projects.
    • Project Management
    • Responsible for production continues improvement projects.
    • Ensure adequate design review and communication sessions with the relevant business unit.
    • Conduct feasibility studies as and when required.
    • Prepare technical drawings, layouts and designs required for construction.
    • Provide project close out documentation.
    • Identify technical and related improvements to equipment.
    • General communication and reporting
    • Interact with production team to ensure that production needs and expectations are understood and achieved.
    • Provide technical assistance to maintenance/production personnel for completed projects.
    • Other reasonable responsibilities and duties requested by Manager.

    Education and experience Requirements

    • B.Sc. Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
    • PR Eng (advantageous)
    • Mechanical Production Development and Machine design.
    • Lean experience - Continuous Improvement a must
    • Ability to use Mechanical CAD systems.
    • Autodesk Inventor
    • Processes Optimization
    • Metallurgical Experience
    • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.

    Senior Employer Branding & Social Media Specialist

    Core responsibilities / expectations

    • Proactively lead the Employer Branding & Social Media RCoE HR function
    • Build, grow and develop the Employer Branding & Social Media RCoE team for maximum performance 
    • Responsible for HR transformation initiatives including digitalization and automation, driving Epiroc's vision "Dare to think new"
    • Continuously improve processes and ways of working, while using digitization and agile methodology as an enabler to achieve further efficiencies
    • Be a role-model for data-driven ways of working
    • Act as One HR through active collaboration with HR colleagues, locally, regionally and globally
    • Actively contribute to the development of the RCoE

    Experience

    • Bachelor's degree required in relevant area; such as Human Resources Management, Communication, Marketing or similar. 
    • Minimum 5 years' experience from leadership roles and working with Employer Branding & Social Media
    • Experience in project management
    • Extensive knowledge and experience of HR processes, especially Employer Branding & Social Media
    • Experience of leading a Centre of Excellence or a Shared Service Centre is highly desirable
    • Should be familiar with social media management platforms and website publishing tools such as facelift and adobe experience management as well as have extensive knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and Teams
    • Familiar  with common publishing/editorial tools (imaging, video, text, etc)
    • Experience of HR transformation initiatives including digitalization and automation
    • Knowledge in agile methods and tools like Teams

    Purchase to Pay Specialist

    Purpose of the role

    Ensuring quality service delivery to all Customers in the Region supported by the Centre of Excellence while continuously looking for improvements to the processes and tools to realize further efficiencies. 

    Core responsibilities / expectations

    • Process transactions (invoices, credit notes)
    • Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and resolve discrepancies 
    • Post invoices into accounting system on a daily and timely basis while ensuring invoices are coded correctly to the correct GL accounts and cost centers
    • Prepare  payments 
    • Perform month-end activities and reporting
    • Analyze vendor accounts, solve negative balances
    • Reconcile vendor statements
    • Performance according to KPI and company policy
    • Communicate with vendors to resolve account discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries 
    • Communicate with customers, provide support and solutions
    • Participate in improvement and optimization projects to improve tools, processes or way of working
    • Participate in ad-hoc projects and special tasks, as assigned
    • You will be expected to carry out any other function or duty as may be required in terms of “The Epiroc Way”

    Reporting line

    • Regional CoE Purchase to Pay Manager

    Knowledge and experience

    • Minimum Matric Certificate.
    • Further tertiary qualification in a related Financial field will be an advantage
    • 3-5 years’ experience in working in a P2P team in a multinational shared service organization
    • Fluency in English is a key requirement. Mastery of one or more key regional language such as French or Portuguese will be an advantage
    • Proven ability to build relationships and trust with internal and external stakeholders
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel will be an advantage.

    Underground Business Manager (UBM) Africa

    Main responsibilities

    Your primary responsibility is to ensure that we are taking market share at a healthy level in terms of volume and profitability in the underground space, and in this you are a partner to the sales teams who are responsible to execute sales within each CC. You and your team will need to work within a matrix of continual and sometimes conflicting demands, being able to prioritize needs based on a solid business case approach.
    Knowing your numbers and ensuring decisions are taken based on data will be two keys to success in this role.

    Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Full ownership of underground business performance (P&L) and underground territory management progress in your respective region
    • Driving price quality, input to market area price developments, managing incentivizing vs price realization
    • Partnering with Division Commercial team to manage commercial and business risk on entry to new deals, contracts, POs, etc.
    • Working with your own team of Product & Application Specialists and the Customer Solutions teams in the Division to enable the sales teams to translate the value of our customer solutions to our customers (value selling)
    • Acting as a forward operating arm of the Underground Division, empowered to execute front line decisions on behalf of the Division within their given mandates, enabling sales teams to work and respond to customers more quickly and thoroughly;
    • Participate in customer negotiations as required or requested by either CC or Division;
    • Act as the information conduit between the Division and the CC organizations;
