    Junior Order to Cash Specialist 1

    Purpose of the role

    Ensure quality Order to Cash & Other service delivery to all Customers in sub-Saharan Africa supported by the Regional Centre of Excellence, while continuously improving the processes and tools to ensure further efficiencies.

     Core responsibilities

    • Support the delivery of quality Order to Cash (O2C) and Travel Expense (TE) Management services to the sub-Saharan organisations in line with expectations and the Epiroc strategy as well as business requirements.
    • Support the implementation of improvements to processes and tools in O2C & TE Management.
    • Support with improving and implementing process alignment in the Region.
    • Review TE claims to ensure compliance to company policy.
    • Perform transactions (allocate receipts from customers, process sundry invoices, maintain master data)
    • Perform month-end activities and reporting.
    • Analyze and reconcile customer accounts, as required.
    • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and ways of working, while using digitization and Robotic Process Automation as an enabler to achieve further efficiencies.
    • Work with Key Performance Indicators and implement necessary actions to correct negative trends
    • Communicate with stakeholders, provide support and solutions.
    • Participate in ad-hoc projects and special tasks, as assigned.
    • Ensure agreed procedures are maintained and adhered to in your work.

    Education and experience

    • Minimum Matric Certificate.
    • Further tertiary qualification in a related Financial field will be an advantage
    • 1-2 years' experience in working in a Finance team will be an advantage
    • Fluency in English is a key requirement. Mastery of one or more key regional language such as French or Portuguese will be an advantage
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Experience in working with BPCS, Infor M3, SharePoint and Microsoft Excel will be an advantage
    • Display confidence in dialogues
    • Strong continuous improvement mindset
    • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues at all level

    Regional Corporate Social responsibility Manager

    Main responsibilities:

    Champion B-BBEE

    • Champion B-BBEE strategy, implementation, and reporting for Epiroc South Africa.
    • Ensure understanding and awareness of BBBEE framework and supporting legislation within the organization.
    • Mobilize respective committees, internal and external stakeholders to ensure data and supporting documentation is readily available for the annual BBBEE verification.
    • Provide quarterly BBBEE scorecard updates to the management committee/ team, ensuring risks are well communicated and actions agreed upon to mitigate such risks.
    • Ensure policies, procedures and processes related to B-BBEE are reviewed regularly. They should be documented and approved within the Management System.
    • Develop and maintain good relations with all stakeholders, including BBBEE verification agencies, the Tirisano Trust and appointed external providers supporting the process.
    • The above responsibilities apply to the relevant legislation in Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, and Zimbabwe (e.g., CEEP and NEEF).

    Skills Development

    • Coordinate and manage the strategy development and implementation of tertiary education bursaries for non-employees; as well as internships, learnerships; and Yes4Youth.
    • Coordinate the strategy for apprenticeships.
    • Ensure the skills development strategy includes opportunities for skills development, job creation and employment for the local communities we operate in (and is aligned to our Inclusive Procurement/ Transformation Plans).
    • Participate in the Employment Equity and Skills Development Committee, ensuring consultation, and facilitating transparent communication between the committee and management.
    • Prepare motivations for non-employee Skills Development initiatives approval.
    • Recordkeeping and maintenance of documentary evidence as per legislation.
    • Quarterly reporting, including the Skills Development Scorecard, approved spend versus actual spend, learner progress reports and placement feedback.

    Enterprise and Supplier Development

    • Using the respective Inclusive Procurement/ Transformation Plans as a foundation, identify ESD opportunities to be submitted to the management team or Tirisano Trust.
    • Ensure that such opportunities align with the local business requirements, and have RBLM buy-in.
    • Assist in preparing the motivations for ESD approval.
    • Close collaboration with the Tirisano Trust around Enterprise and Supplier Development initiatives for South Africa. Active participation in the implementation, monitoring, and follow-up of all initiatives.
    • Recordkeeping and maintenance of documentary evidence as per legislation.
    • Quarterly reporting around identified, approved, and implemented ESD initiatives (this should include CEEP/ NEEF activities where applicable).

    Socio-Economic Development

    • Define and implement a regional Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, aimed at facilitating the growth and development of the local communities within which we operate.
    • Develop and build relationships between partner beneficiaries, partner companies, customer counterparts and other stakeholders.
    • Identify potential projects in collaboration with stakeholders and prepare motivations for approval.
    • Monitor the progress of each project throughout its life cycle to ensure deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
    • Recordkeeping and maintenance of documentary evidence as per legislation.
    • Quarterly reporting around identified, approved, and implemented SED initiatives (this should include CEEP/ NEEF activities where applicable).
    • Establish and chair a SED committee to ensure transparent and fair selection of projects.
    • Ensure policies, procedures and processes related to SED are reviewed regularly. They should be documented and approved within the Management System.
    • Custodian and champion for Water for All in the region.

    Global 

    • Set a roadmap in place for the Epiroc Global customer community engagement strategy.
    • Drive and co-ordinate the Global customer community engagement work
    • Establish a framework taking into consideration the local context and develop internal Group guidance and policies.
    • Keep track of upcoming requirements
    • Engage with Epiroc colleagues in different regions.
    • Support Group with related projects and activities

    General

    • Responsible for quarterly financial report related to corporate social responsibility projects and spend. To be submitted to regional finance before the quarterly deadline.
    • Prepare for and participate in the Social and Ethics Committee (a sub-committee of the Epiroc South Africa Board of Directors).
