    FP&A Analyst

    Why this role is exciting: 

    Exciting opportunity for a newly qualified CA(SA) to join the market leader in Partnership Automation as a Financial Analyst.

    Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is instrumental in helping to drive the decision making for Impact globally and acts as the analytical engine of our finance team to provide insights, high quality reporting and support business decision making. You will be a key functional member of Impact’s financial forecasting, annual budgeting processes, operating plan variance analysis and special projects.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Prepares financial and business related analysis and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, cost of sales, cash flow forecasting, and working capital
    • Prepares consolidated forecasts and budgets and analyzes trends in revenue, expense, capital expenditures and other related areas
    • Financial instruments accounting
    • Assist with updating the company’s forecasting model monthly with information from the accounting systems and updating expense and revenue forecasts based on actual business events and timelines
    • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance this involves updating the company dashboards and providing analysis

    • Monthly, prepare company forecasts in collaboration with cross-functional team members and provide explanations for variances from prior expectations
    • Develop business cases in support of new investment opportunities, and work with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive initiative budgets
    • Develop, track, and analyze key operational metrics for each functional area

    Does this sound like you?

    Manager FPA

    What you will be doing:

    As the FP&A Manager, you will be based in Cape Town and responsible for the day to day operations of the FP&A process. You will be responsible for shaping and guiding the Planning and Budgeting function as well as the Reporting and Analysis for the global firm. You will work along with the Director, FP&A, CFO and other operating leaders to develop a best in class FP&A function. 

    What you will be doing:

    • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting and analysis of impact.com’s core business. Provide high level financial modeling and analysis and be well-versed in the creation of dynamic financial models including scenario planning and comprehensive budgets. Must be analytical and business minded.
    • Direct and coach the team, including driving of professional development, productivity and prioritization of deliverables.
    • Perform financial and operational analysis: identify and track leading and lagging key metrics; assess current and future business risk; evaluate organic and inorganic growth options; drive adoption of data-driven decision-making process to support company growth; 
    • Partner with the Executive Leadership and Strategy teams to drive the Semi-Annual and Long Range Strategic plan
    • Streamline and optimize FP&A process and operations: prepare FP&A memos, desktop procedures, and policies, incorporating FP&A best practices, to provide guidance and clarity to the organization; establish and maintain effective controls related to FP&A reporting; partner with accounting to provide financial and analytical support to operating leaders; 
    • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy: partner with accounting, business applications and other teams to improve system and processes for internal and external reporting
    • Identify, monitor, and act upon KPI reporting to measure success and drive continuous improvement

    Associate Growth Specialist, Brand Engagement

    Your Role at Impact:

    What You'll Do:

    As an Associate Growth Specialist for Brand Engagement at impact.com, you’ll get to support and develop emails and in-app campaigns aimed at current customers that result in increased logins and productive partnerships. You will work closely with Growth and with the CSM teams to understand the key needs and blockers of our brand audiences. You will set up and create lists of recommended advertiser programs based on retail trends, interests, and themes/seasons. These manually curated lists will be shared on the Mkpl homepage and in weekly recommendation emails. 

    You will be tasked with working with team members from different departments (Content marketing, data science, CSM/PDMs, PXA) to help support communication strategies primarily for the demand/brand/advertiser side of impact.com’s business and brand partnerships.

    What You'll Do:

    As an Associate Growth Specialist for Curation at impact.com, you’ll get to curate publisher content and support weekly recommendation emails and Discover Homepage collections. You will work closely with Growth and with the Marketing Governance team to answer questions related to Discover and publisher listings. You will support all requests to edit or enhance publisher data and you will review, enhance and approve all daily productive new publisher listings as well as approve all changes made to publisher listings after sign-up. In addition, you will support email campaigns around improving the quality and consistency of our Mkpl listings. 

    You will be tasked with working with team members from different departments (Growth and Marketing Governance) to help support curating listings, curated lists, our weekly recommendation emails, and Discover homepage content.

    QA Engineer

    Your Role at Impact:

    As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Impact, your key responsibilities will carry a dual  mandate, being to deliver the highest quality software to our end users while simultaneously ensuring the persistence of the quality standard by means of automated regression. This is a rare opportunity in QA to have a direct influence on the quality of our software through every phase of the feature delivery workflow. This role will fully encompass all responsibilities associated with the Quality Assurance complement for a designated squad.

    The applicant who is ultimately successful will be expected to scrutinize new features with a high attention to detail and document the methodology utilised in the form of a detailed test plan containing the respective test cases specific to the feature.  Upon successful deployment of the feature, the scenarios detailed in the test plan are then to be automated using Java and selenium webdriver.

    The person filling this role will also be mandated with conducting the regression testing phase of the deployment workflow process and reporting on results timeously. The successful candidate will partner closely with software Development Engineers and Product Managers to understand product requirements as well as functionality for developing appropriate build scripts, test plans and test cases.

    Software Engineer, Associate II

    Why this role is exciting:

    As an Associate Software Engineer II, your focus will be on delivering small tasks for the squad, testing end to end, assisting QA with Staging environments and fixing broken builds.

    This role assumes that you have an understanding of all aspects of a language and are able to apply previous solutions to new problems independently.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, test and maintain software for the Platform
    • Build meaningful unit, functional and integration level tests for the software built
    • Collaborate with a distributed team to fulfill the department's quarterly objectives
    • Develop code both independently and while pair programming
    • Write and maintain design, user and test documentation
    • Become familiar with technologies used on the squad
    • Perform triage functionality through verification and fixing of bugs
    • Build non customer facing
    • Support software testing and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
    • Create SQL for Tech Updates and ensure this is ready for review

    Does this sound like you?

    • Completed B.S. In Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience
    • 2 years experience in Java 8+
    • Exposure to Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
    • Exposure to front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, Angular or React
    • GitHub Account with showcased work / samples / contributions (strongly preferred)
    • You should have practical experience in common design patterns, using unit tests for new code, and adding missing unit tests to legacy code with practical exposure to CI, and integration tests.     Software Technical Services Engineer

    Your Role at Impact:

    Primarily focused on:

    • Technical troubleshooting and making sure Technical Support tickets in Jira get resolved / delegated in a timely and efficient manner.
    • New technical integrations during onboarding of “Enterprise” tier accounts.
    • Re-implementations / migrations of “Enterprise” tier accounts.
    • Oversee and mentor Product Engineers / Junior Solution Engineers.
    • Periodic account reviews to vet technical settings and discover inefficiencies and mistakes in configuration.

    This role is in the middle of all of the technical issues facing our client base and must use this knowledge to help identify/define improvements to our product/technology. 

    This role reports to the Manager of Technical Services/ Solutions.

    What You'll Do:

    • Specific activities will include interfacing with clients (business and technology) and answering questions on the integration process and technology, best practices and performance expectations. This person is an expert at impact.com’s technology and will be tasked to deliver custom engineering and advanced technical support to customers that buy those services, or as determined by impact.com’s leadership team.

    • This position will also work with the technology and customer support teams to identify and analyze data errors to help ensure stability and reliability of the impact.com’s platform.

    Priority 1

    • Resolve tickets in the incoming Technical Services/ implementations queue
    • Lead technical integration or support calls with new/ existing clients
    • Acquire as much product knowledge as possible
    • Provide assistance in technical services Slack channel amongst others

    Priority 2

    • Create Jira tickets that address technical issues related to our product.
    • Actively engage with the Product team to give feedback on new features and offer product ideas.
    • Oversee and mentor various staff members
    • Add/Create/Maintain confluence documentation
    • Identify and spec out tools/reports that assist the tech troubleshooting process
    • Train new resources assigned to the Technical Services Jira queue
    • Assist in the creation of technical related help content / documentation that is made available to client base
    • Serve as a go to person in regards with technical product knowledge for the entire organisation 

    Priority 3

    • Provide technical support as needed in the sales process.
    • Create and maintain technical troubleshooting "recipes"
    • Monitor the incoming Technical Services/ Implementation Queue and Verify the tickets, resolve and suggest workarounds

    What You Have:

    • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Math's or related Science or Commerce discipline
    • 2+ years experience in Integration Support, Sales Engineering, Software Development or related discipline, preferably in an external customer-facing capacity.
    • Ability to perform log analysis, including writing SQL queries.
    • Experience in Web application and tool development is preferred.
    • Experience of at least one scripting / programming language (JavaScript, Python, PHP) is preferred.
    • Passion for solving customer issues in a fast paced environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently
