    Manager FPA

    What you will be doing:

    As the FP&A Manager, you will be based in Cape Town and responsible for the day to day operations of the FP&A process. You will be responsible for shaping and guiding the Planning and Budgeting function as well as the Reporting and Analysis for the global firm. You will work along with the Director, FP&A, CFO and other operating leaders to develop a best in class FP&A function. 

    What you will be doing:

    • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting and analysis of impact.com’s core business. Provide high level financial modeling and analysis and be well-versed in the creation of dynamic financial models including scenario planning and comprehensive budgets. Must be analytical and business minded.
    • Direct and coach the team, including driving of professional development, productivity and prioritization of deliverables.
    • Perform financial and operational analysis: identify and track leading and lagging key metrics; assess current and future business risk; evaluate organic and inorganic growth options; drive adoption of data-driven decision-making process to support company growth; 
    • Partner with the Executive Leadership and Strategy teams to drive the Semi-Annual and Long Range Strategic plan
    • Streamline and optimize FP&A process and operations: prepare FP&A memos, desktop procedures, and policies, incorporating FP&A best practices, to provide guidance and clarity to the organization; establish and maintain effective controls related to FP&A reporting; partner with accounting to provide financial and analytical support to operating leaders; 
    • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy: partner with accounting, business applications and other teams to improve system and processes for internal and external reporting
    • Identify, monitor, and act upon KPI reporting to measure success and drive continuous improvement
    • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, motivation and positive attitude around the accomplishment of the team’s objectives while remaining agile in a fast paced environment

    Does this sound like you:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent experience and 7+ years of combined experience in FP&A or similar at a large company, ideally in technology,  software, retail or related industries.
    • An independent, self-motivated individual who works well under pressure with a positive, service-oriented attitude
    • Able to build relationships with other functions to enable affect business partnering
    • Extremely detail-oriented and organized with prior experience having gathered, structured, monitored, and validated data to ensure data integrity and detailed documentation;
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to synthesize data and complex information, and present succinctly to executives and stakeholders at all levels
    • Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information
    • Experience with PBCS, Hyperion planning/financial reporting or similar applications strongly desired
    • Salesforce and Netsuite expertise is a plus
    • Can act as a role model to the team in practices, communication, emotional intelligence, prioritization ability and leadership skills.
    • Advanced financial modeling skills
