    Key Account Manager - Gauteng

    Why we’re hiring for this role:

    We’re looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join our sales team for the Gauteng Region, South Africa.

    As a Key Account Manager you will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth objectives. You will be the person in charge of managing a company's relationships with its customers - in charge of building long-term relationships with a group of customers and generally stay with customers for the length of their relationship with the company. Your goal is to keep clients or accounts as long as possible and to grow Peach's share-of-volume. You also may be in charge of finding new business, be assigned prospects, given accounts, or a combination thereof. Tasks may involve project management, strategic planning, sales support, product design, service application, logistics, and marketing.

    How you’ll be making a difference:

    • Generate sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
    • Operate as the point of contact for assigned customers
    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with accounts
    • Make sure clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion
    • Communicate client needs and demands within the appropriate internal teams
    • Forecast and track client account metrics
    • Manage projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals
    • Identify opportunities to grow business with existing clients
    • Coordinate with staff members working on the same account to ensure consistent service
    • Collaborate with sales team to reach prospective clients
    • Service multiple clients concurrently, often meeting deadlines
    • Keep records of client transactions
    • 40% of your time will be spent on managing and nurturing the existing merchants in our portfolio including up- and cross-selling to them
    • 30% of your time will be spent on project managing the go live projects for new enterprise clients
    • 20% of your time will be spent in finding new business opportunities
    • 10% of your time will be spent in pipeline management

    We're looking for someone who has:

    • 5-9 years experience in customer/client-facing role, with a track record of top performance.
    • Ability to understand the Peach Payments API and build great relationships with highly technical customers.
    • Ability to understand complex enterprise requirements and craft custom solutions.
    • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrated passion for the start-up community and new technology businesses.
    • Strong interest in technology and the payments industry

    Payments Compliance Specialist - Cape Town

    What we’d like you to have:

    • At least 2+ years of technical operations experience
    • Experience managing programs that involve reporting and driving action at scale
    • Expertise or broad understanding of Visa and Mastercard standards and requirements 
    • A proven track record of working effectively in a product-centric environment with significant internal and external dependencies
    • Experience partnering with external stakeholders specifically Banks and Card Networks
    • The ability to prioritize and guide individuals through competing demands and complex problems
    • An operationally focused mindset, with an ability to see a project through to success using planning, metrics and effective communication
    • Proficiency with data analysis tools
    • Experience working in the payments industry or at a leading technology company

    Your mission, if you choose to accept it:

    • Act as a subject matter expert to the organization, for the scheme rules and requirements relating to the credit card processing
    • Coordinate with the Legal department and other second line risk teams to address any potential issues related to the product, proactively mitigating risks
    • Handle any regulatory inquiries related to the scheme requests
    • Stay up-to-date with and coordinate action plans for changes in schemes and acquirers related to credit card products and services, interpreting them and advising the team accordingly.
    • Ensure that all relevant staff members are aware of and understand payments compliance requirements and responsibilities
    • Foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization, demonstrating the importance of ethical behavior and regulatory adherence.
    • Manage multiple projects to enhance and optimize operational strategy systems and tools;
    • Partner with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams (Operations Leadership, Operations Managers, Product, Engineering, Partnerships, Support, Sales, etc) to prioritize and maximize the impact of your projects;
    • Leverage an analytical mindset. Collect data, user feedback, and industry research and use that to improve processes.
    • Handle inquiries from internal and external partners' technical teams, often requiring detailed investigation and configuration changes insights to be compliant
    • Collaborate with the product development team to provide compliance advice and guidance from the initial stage, helping to shape a product that is both innovative and compliant.
    • Creating action plans to mitigate identified risks
