    Software Engineer: Back-End II

    • We’re building a modern payments platform inside a bank that moves like a fintech — small autonomous teams, engineers who own their services end-to-end, and releases measured in days, not quarters. You’ll design and build processing services across card-present and card-not-present channels, working from transaction pipelines and scheme integrations through to API design and AWS infrastructure.
    • We’re looking for 5+ years of hands-on payments experience, strong Java or Node.js/TypeScript, and comfort operating in Kubernetes and event-driven architectures. If you bring deep domain expertise but wear it lightly, we’d love to talk.
    • Our teams are intentionally small and hands-on. Engineers work closely with each other and with product partners, owning real systems that move real money every day.

    Why this role is different

    • True ownership: We trust engineers to own services end-to-end, from design to live operation.
    • Real impact: What you build will be used at scale and will matter to customers every day.
    • Strong influence: We value senior engineers who shape architecture, standards and ways of working.
    • Human culture: We value depth of expertise, curiosity and collaboration over ego.

    What we’re looking for

    • At least 5 years of hands-on experience building payment systems or transaction-heavy financial platforms
    • Strong back-end development experience in Java or Node.js with TypeScript
    • Proven experience working with card payment processing, including in-store and online transactions
    • Experience designing and supporting transaction pipelines and external integrations
    • Practical experience running services on Kubernetes
    • Experience with event-driven system design
    • Working knowledge of AWS and cloud-based infrastructure
    • Strong API design skills and a focus on reliability, security and operability
    • A mindset of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement
    • Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in small, autonomous teams
    • Ready to build what payments depend on?
    • If you want to work on complex payment systems, own your services end-to-end and be part of a team that delivers at pace, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and let’s build something that matters.

    Software Engineer: Full Stack III

    • We’re growing our engineering capability and bringing more work in-house as we migrate away from a vendor. This role exists to raise the quality of our front end and help us build modern, intuitive web experiences for the teams who use our tools every day. While this is a full-stack role, front-end excellence is the core focus.

    What you’ll do

    • Lead and deliver front-end features using React and Vue, with a strong focus on usability, performance and visual quality.
    • Own front-end patterns and reusable components, setting a high bar for consistency, accessibility and maintainability.
    • Partner with engineers and product partners to turn requirements into clear, working solutions.
    • Contribute across the stack when needed, using JavaScript and TypeScript on the back end, without losing sight of front-end quality.
    • Improve quality and delivery through code reviews, testing and practical engineering standards.
    • Help us reduce dependency on external vendors by owning features end-to-end and improving how we work.

Our team and the impact you’ll have

    • We’re a rapidly growing engineering team, building an agent management workspace and related capabilities as part of a broader move to build more solutions in-house.
    • You’ll join a focused team that collaborates closely with a wider group working on integrations and automation across the business.
    • This role plays a key part in strengthening our front-end capability in a space that has traditionally been more back-end heavy.

    Why this role is different

    • Front-end quality genuinely matters here. We care about detail, finish and building interfaces that designers and users trust.
    • You’ll have influence, helping to shape front-end standards and patterns as we continue to scale.
    • We’re building, not just maintaining. You’ll be part of a shift to true in-house ownership.
    • Our culture is open, direct and collaborative. We speak up early, solve problems together and keep things human.

    What we’re looking for

    • Strong front-end engineering experience with React and/or Vue.
    • Proven ability to build polished, production-ready user interfaces using HTML and CSS.
    • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
    • Comfort working as a full-stack engineer when required, with a clear front-end strength.
    • Experience designing and maintaining reusable UI components and patterns.
    • A collaborative, self-driven approach with the confidence to speak up and engage constructively.

    Ready to build with us?

    • If you’re a front-end-strong engineer who enjoys owning outcomes and raising the bar on quality, we’d love to meet you. Apply and tell us what you’ve built and what you want to grow next.
