    Administrator - Container Conversion Industry

    Job Description

    • Our client manufactures, supplies and converts containers for a variety of applications, and they have a vacancy available for an Administrator in Macassar, Cape Town. 
    • Our client is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join the Cape Town team as an Office Administrator – Offshore (Cape-Town). 

    A brief description of the duties, responsibilities and functions will consist of, but are not limited to:

     Task Focus

    • Active debtors' management and assistance, always ensuring a clean ledger.
    • Develop and maintain a strong communication line between the office and current as well as future clients.
    • Ensuring prospective, current, and future clients understand and adhere to the company's standard terms and conditions.
    • Processing of invoices, coding of invoices, allocation of receipts and credits on respective invoices.
    • Action and resolve credit-related queries.
    • Basic office administration, including but not limited to tracking, quoting, filing and switchboard operations.
    • Connect with the Head Office Finance team on all things administration. Ensure that the stock value chain is managed, and that stock reports are distributed to management and Head Office personnel as required.
    • Ensure that sales reports are maintained and distributed weekly to the respective management teams.
    • Assist the office personnel in managing the sales pipeline.

     Personal and Team Focus

    • Ensure that you maintain an eagerness for acquiring product knowledge
    • Work on your good interpersonal communication between clients, staff, management, and Head Office
    • Be inquisitive in finding solutions to customer requirements
    • Be supportive of colleagues and management in chasing the division's goals

    • Be a team player.

     Minimum Requirements:

    • Senior Certificate
    • Drivers Licence
    • Computer Literate
    • Well spoken, excellent communication skills
    • Tertiary education would be an advantage – ( Understanding of International freight and logistics processes and procedures)

    Junior Medical Underwriter

    • Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Underwriter who would like to grow and develop their technical and medical experience and knowledge within a unique, dynamic and fast-changing organisation.

    Purpose of the Role

    • Assess client’s applications for Life and Disability against the companies underwriting risk standards
    • Provide concise feedback and recommendations on individual life policies
    • Working together with management and reinsurers to provide the most suitable outcomes on policies the meet the client needs and keep to risk standards set.
    • Provide support and guidance to consultants on underwriting requirements

    Requirements

    • The individual must have at least 1-3 years experience as an Individual Life Underwriter.
    • Previous exposure to substandard medical cases
    • Solid medical underwriting skills
    • Good understanding of the basics of financial underwriting
    • Must have a Matric and Degree/ Diploma in the medical or relevant field, an Insurance qualification / FAIS Credits / Regulatory Exam would be an advantage.
    • Must be Fit & Proper in terms of the FAIS Act

    Life Underwriter

    What You'll Bring:

    • 3 -5 years' experience in Individual Life Underwriting
    • Strong medical underwriting expertise, including impairments and substandard risks
    • Understanding of financial underwriting principles
    • Reinsurance and complex case experience
    • Relevant qualification (Insurance, Medical or related field)
    • FAIS Fit & Proper (RE5 advantageous)
