    Enrolled Nurse

    Main Focus Areas

    • To provide nursing care and comfort to all patients assigned to them.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • To provide holistic patient care within the scope of practice and according to the nursing care plan.​
    • To ensure the cost-effective utilization and management of stock and consumables.​
    • To contribute to teamwork and efficiency of the team.​
    • To continuously strive towards delivering of high-quality nursing care.

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Enrolled Nurse diploma and SANC registration.​
    • Basic knowledge of nursing activities and procedures as per scope of practice.​
    • Hich energy levels and adaptability to changing working environment.​
    • Must be able to be accountable for decisions made and be able to work under pressure.​
    • Own transport.​
    • Theatre experience will be an advantage.​
    • Must be willing to work hours in accordance with the requirements of the unit. ​
    • Fully bilingual with good communication skills.

    Main Focus Areas

    • To be responsible for the total nursing care of psychiatric patients in their care

    AKPH UM Theatre

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary  team In accordance, the Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his / her unit The Unit manager will also be responsible for theatre specific accreditation, cardiac program management and internal audits

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Ensure that your unit is providing safe, cost-effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of Lenmed / hospital and evidence-based practice
    • Evaluate the patient’s journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution
    • Evaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
    • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
    • Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees
    • Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to
    • Implement group quality initiatives
    • Liaise with public liability regarding all incidents of potential risk to the business
    • Managing cost, staffing within the legal framework

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)
    A relevant nursing qualification ( B Cur Degree/ or relevant management qualification)

    • A post basic qualification in Theatre
    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Unit Manager/shift leader in Theatre
    • Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
    • Compulsory BLS certification
    • Advanced Computer Literacy
    • Knowledge and experience on Kronos will be beneficial
    • Flexible in working hours/Shifts

    RHHC Registered Nurse (Medical Ward 2)

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies and will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities
    • Contribute to the holistic care of patients
    • Attend handover of report at shift commencement
    • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
    • Promote patient of health and wellbeing
    • Audit of health records to ensure compliance
    • Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately
    • Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife or equivalent NQF 7 qualification .
    • Relevant qualification and experience within a specialist area
    • Advanced Computer Literacy
    • Flexible in working hours/Shifts
    • Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation

    Clinical Facilitator

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Clinical Facilitator is responsible for the clinical facilitation of training and development, learning of the theoretical and clinical component in a clinical environment to reinforce the learning process as well as the integration of theory and practice.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Active involvement in research and development activities to discover new knowledge about products, processes, and services, and then applying that knowledge to create new and improved products, processes, and services that meet the academic market needs
    • Plan, draw and coordinate training and development calendars
    • Facilitate the marking of case studies and assignments
    • Keep accurate employee clinical records
    • Plan, organize and ensure active involvement in the process of all academic related projects
    • Facilitate the clinical learning process by understanding, applying and maintaining adult learning methodologies

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • A relevant nursing qualification ( B Cur Degree/ or relevant education qualification)
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
    • Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
    • Assessor and Moderator trained
    •  BLS instructor
    • Clinical Expertise within your specialty
    • Advanced Computer Literacy will be essential
