    Senior Technician: Electrical Design and Planning

    Salary: R 533 280 – R 692 112 per annum (T-14 of a Category 4 Local Authority)

    Requirements: 

    • Understanding of the operation, maintenance, upgrading and extension of electrical engineering infrastructure, must be able to act independently and make decisions based on sound engineering principles and industry standards

    Process Controller Class II: WWTW

    Salary: R 211 620 – R 274 560 (T-07 of a Category 4 Local Authority)

    Requirements:

    Qualification:

    • Grade 12 or relevant post matric qualification preferably a NTC 3 in Water Treatment or Waste Water treatment;
    • Trade related qualification: Operators certificate/ Wastewater Treatment practice (N3);
    • Certification and registration as Class II Process Controller with the DWA in accordance with the requirements of regulation 17 of the National Water Act and Code B license

    Experience: 1 - 2 years’ relevant experience required
    Job Purpose:

    • Responsible to provide a class II process controller service at a Class B waste water treatment works, to render a manual labourer service, to attend to sewerage blockages and to operate small plant in order for the services division to perform its job function.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Supervise and give instructions to subordinates/general assistants
    • Monitor outputs and report poor performance to Process Controller.
    • Clean pipes and manholes and unblock pipes
    • Provide manual labour related to the division, digging trenches, moving materials, mix concrete, break wall, spading.
    • Operate small plant i.e. jack hammer, compactor, drill machine, pneumatic tools, water pump, high pressure cleaner, mowers, chainsaws, weed eaters and power take off units.
    • Operate dewatering plant
    • Do manual housekeeping.
    • Conduct daily testing on the plant and record different findings
    • Take daily flow readings
    • Daily dose of chemicals.
    • Monitor and maintenance of all pump stations in area.
    • Adjust treatment process and dose chemicals or reduce chemical dosage according to test results.
    • Do routine basic and routine maintenance on mechanical equipment such as grease bearings and oil levels.
    • Control and manage the storage of chemicals.
    • Spray herbicides and weed killers.

    Examiner of Driving Licenses: Grade A

    Salary: R 268 104 – R 348 000 (T-09 of a Category 4 Local Authority)

    Requirements:

    • Registered by the Provincial Administration as an Examiner of Driving Licenses and Examiner of Motor Vehicles as a recommendation.
    • In possession of a valid A Grade Diploma for Examiner for Driving licenses and
    • A Grade Diploma for an Examiner of Motor Vehicles as a recommendation,
    • To have a valid Code A, and Code EC driving licenses.
    • No criminal record.
