    Talent Acquisition Officer (Corporate Services Division)

    Key Accountabilities

    The main responsibilities of the incumbent will, inter alia, include:

    • Coordinate and maintain accurate job profiles and job descriptions, ensuring alignment with organisational requirements and timely preparation and publication of recruitment advertisements.
    • Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including placement of advertisements, preliminary screening of CVs against requirements, and coordination of interview scheduling and logistics.
    • Ensure smooth and efficient interview processes by preparing interview packs, facilitating stakeholder communication, and supporting adherence to interview guidelines and procedures.
    • Coordinate assessment, case study and competency-testing processes, including scheduling, communication of guidelines, and facilitation of feedback sessions where required.
    • Implement recruitment processes in line with organisational policies, labour legislation, and regulatory requirements, ensuring full compliance and audit readiness.
    • Maintain accurate recruitment records, including interview documentation, background checks, verification reports, and compliance files in accordance with governance standards.
    • Build and maintain service-orientated relationships with HR Business Partners, line managers, candidates, and external stakeholders, ensuring professional and timeous communication.
    • Support onboarding coordination and contribute to initiatives that enhance candidate experience, employer branding, and EVP delivery.
    • Coordinate graduate recruitment activities, including advert placement, application management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting on programme performance and pipeline progress.
    • Ensure data integrity within the ATS by maintaining accurate candidate information, updating vacancy trackers, and generating recruitment reports such as time-to-fill, applicant volumes, and vacancy rates.

    Requirements

    We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and committed individual who meets the following requirements:

    • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resources, Human Sciences, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development or related field of study.
    • A Degree in Human Resources, Human Sciences, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development or related discipline will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience of working as an HR professional with at least 2 years working within recruitment and selection.
    • At least 4 years’ working experience as an HR professional, with at least 3 years working within recruitment & selection is a strong advantage.
    • Demonstrated experience working with competency assessment systems and testing.
    • Experience working with middle-to-senior management stakeholders.
    • Proven ability managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Exposure to recruitment within a regulatory or compliance-driven environment will be an added advantage
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

    Junior Analyst (Market Inquiry) : Monitoring and Evaluation

    The main responsibilities of the incumbent will, inter alia, include:

    • Assist with monitoring the implementation and compliance with the recommendations and remedial actions imposed in market inquiries.
    • Assist in conducting impact assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of recommendations and remedial actions imposed in completed market inquiries, including the development of information requests, interviewing market participants and conducting site visits.
    • Provide support in projects and initiatives within the Market Inquiry Division which seek to foster compliance with recommendations and remedial actions of market inquiries.
    • Assist in conducting research and identifying focus areas for future market inquires.
    • Assist in carrying out the investigative work required in a market inquiry, including the development of information requests and interviewing market participants.

    Requirements

    We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and a committed individual who meets the following requirements:

    • An Honours degree in Economics or LLB.
    • A Masters' degree in Economics or an LLM will be an added advantage.
    • Strong research, analytical and writing skills are essential.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ Economics or Legal experience; it would be advantageous if the experience is in economic regulation and/ or competition.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the purpose and objectives of the Competition Act, the Competition Commission and the South African economy is highly recommended.

    Analysts (Market Inquiry): Monitoring and Evaluation

    The main responsibilities of the incumbent will, inter alia, include:

    • Lead projects and initiatives within the Market Inquiry Division which seek to foster compliance with recommendations and remedial actions of market inquiries.
    • Assist in conducting research and identifying focus areas for future market inquires.
    • Undertake investigative work required in a market inquiry, including the development of information requests, and interviewing market participants.
    • Assist with the identification of issues to be assessed in a market inquiry.
    • Conduct research required in a market inquiry, including researching international best practices and jurisdictional approaches to similar issues as those raised in the market inquiry.
    • Reporting to the Senior/ Principal Analyst on the progress and outcomes of research undertaken.
    • Assist in the presentation of reports to relevant structures within the Commission..
    • Assist in the provision of post-inquiry support, including litigation support.
    • Act as a representative of the Commission within the framework of the Competition Act when communicating with business, consumers, government agencies and other stakeholders.

    Requirements

     We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and a committed individual who meets the following requirements:

    • An Honours degree in Economics or LLB. A Masters’ degree in Economics or an LLM will be an added advantage.
    • Strong research, analytical and writing skills are essential.
    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ Economics or Legal experience; it would be advantageous if this was in competition and regulatory environment.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the purpose and objectives of the Competition Act, the Competition Commission and the South African economy is highly recommended.

    Other considerations:

    • Practical work exposure to area of expertise will be further considered to balance against other requirements.
