    Job Objectives:

    Senior Category Manager (Baby SAS/SIS)

    Job description

    1. To develop and implement a category plan for specific product ranges to ensure reduced cost of goods, optimise contract terms and increase income, assume responsibility of budget and revenue for category.
    2. To negotiate favourable trading terms and promotional spend (co-op), actively cultivate, develop and maintain vendor relationships and partnerships to ensure vendor performance and first to market with new product launches.
    3. To maintain relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products lines.
    4. To implement a plan that will achieve the Clicks' value proposition through price and promotion whilst achieving promotional sales targets.
    5. To translate the operating and financial plans into a balanced product assortment and visual on-shelf display to meet the customer’s needs
    6. To support the sourcing and development of private label products and exclusive brands thereby creating product differentiation, innovation and brand loyalty that will increase market share and profitability.
    7. To regularly review performance indicators, such as sales, margin and promo quantification, keeping the business updated on financial performance versus market and plan.
    8. To conduct range reviews, analyse consumer buying patterns, predict future trends and stay abreast with competitor activity.
    9. To work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing and Clubcard to ensure effective delivery of the operating plan.
    10. To support both the Merchandise and Graduate Development Programme by playing an active role in facilitating training sessions to embed sound procurement principles and commercial awareness.    

    The work streams will include, but is not limited to the following:

    1. Project managing the roll out and day to day management of Clicks Baby
    2. Identifying new vendors and source new categories, products whilst extending the existing assortment in line product strategy. Ensure products are loaded in line with critical path
    3. Negotiating, building and integrating a promotional strategy and calendar for SIS, SAS and Online Baby
    4. Manage and update showroom ticketing requirements and liaise with necessary stakeholders
    5. Provide insight into Marketing, Baby Club and Loyalty Club strategies and update team on innovation and key initiatives to drive the product strategy
    6. Ensuring stock forecasts are agreed with vendors and planners before ordering takes place
    7. Ensuring planograms, space and in store merchandising is aligned to the product strategy
    8. Aligning ops and stores with Clicks Baby SOP’s including showroom sample management
    9. Aligning HR, Sales Advisors and Vendors with training requirements
    10. Provide day to day support for Clicks Baby store queries and tailored customer requests

    Key Performance Areas:

    • To perform detailed analyses of data and present the information in a clear, tangible and consistent manner in order to measure operational performance against set objectives and identify improvement opportunities.

    • 2 years report development and data driven solutions experience
    • Exposure to SAP SAC, SAP BI or Other business intelligence software
    • Exposure to SQL

    Shop Assistant / Cashier - Clicks Parkrand

    Job Objectives:

    • To efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and efficient manner.
    • To maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payment for goods purchased, including actioning clubcard rewards.
    • To ensure the safe handling of cash at all times.
    • To proactively promote the Clicks' clubcard and to enroll new clubcard members in order to achieve the clubcard participation targets.
    • To make customers aware of promotions in order to positively affect sales and to ensure customers "feel good and pay less".
    • To deliver superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, being visible and offering a friendly and professional service.
    • To efficiently execute and maintain all merchandising and general housekeeping duties according to store and visual merchandise standards.
    • To support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving the company values.
    • To maintain updated knowledge on products, ranges, promotions and events in order to provide the correct information to customers at all times.

    Experience:

    • Desirable: experience in a customer facing role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment

    Education:

    • Essential: Grade 12
    • Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level
