    Master Data Expert

    OVERVIEW:

    Join us as a Master Data Expert where you will provide Level 3 support to site super users and end users, perform system changes and configuration, and maintain documentation up to date.

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

    • Project Tracking and Reporting on deviations.
    • Project Risk and Issues Management.
    • Logistics and planning coordination.
    • Operational Perspective.
    • Collaborate effectively with key subject matter experts to resolve issues around the business processes.
    • Assist SAP functional team in developing proof of concepts to showcase functional solutions to the key business partners and subject matter experts.
    • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and analysis.
    • Work independently and within a team to develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
    • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources.
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
    • Identify data cleansing opportunities within our source systems and suggest ways to improve data accuracy and/or collection of new data points.
    • Support management to prioritize business and information needs.
    • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
    • Create reports for internal teams and/or external clients.
    • Structure large data sets to find usable information.
    • Design automated reports used in various reporting and planning.
    • Design, develop and rollout automated reporting tools and reports.
    • Design, develop and rollout data analytic tools to allow review and analysis of operational data.
    • Identify and execute data cleanup projects to improve data accuracy.
    • Interact cross-functionally with individuals from various functions.
    • Provide testing support for new system enhancements and project implementation. 
    • Reports and reporting tools linked to underlying ERP systems, user friendly and in line with management requirements.
    • Responsible for development of advanced reporting tools and data analytic models to support reporting, reviews and decision making.
    • Serve in a supporting role for ongoing and special projects, which involve processes or systems.
    • Analyse SAP S/4 master data within the Materials and Equipment master data environment.
    • Generate analysis report as requested.
    • Co-ordinate queries and concerns with the various SME/Leads at the various business units in all the regions.
    • Assist with creation of mass upload / change / delete upload files for processing into SAP and testing of the various MDG/SAP S/4 environments within the Master Data Cleansing environment.
    • Support Master Data Lead to monitor data quality by means of proactive reporting and implement mass updates to Taxonomy (material & Equipment) in the MDG.
    • Stand-in for Master Data Lead, when necessary, as requested.
    • Responsible for ongoing Data Integrity/accuracy improvement.
    • On-going knowledge transfer to business SME's and users.
    • Continuous taxonomy improvement / completeness and validity.
    • Upskill Master Data personnel relating Cataloguing / Codification and Master Data capabilities.
    • Ensure PM documentation are kept up to date Training SME’s.
    • Collate and report on Comprehensive Incident management details.
    • Analyze and implement Process improvements as required.
    • Collaborate and engage with global business process owners.
    • Provide support to master data organization.
    • Weekly calls with site SMEs and Global BPO's.
    • Perform system changes and configuration.
    • Maintain SAP copper documentation and templates and provide to template owners.
    • Provide ad hoc informal training and upskilling to SMEs on relevant awareness requirements.
    • SAP System monitoring related to Business Processes.
    • Execute and implement systems upgrades.
    • Provide support to Master Data Governance (MDG).

    KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

    • SAP Global Support team.
    • Copper Commercial Service functions (Transactional services, Vendor management, Compliance, Legal Services).
    • Global BPO’s and SME’s.
    • Copper IT management.

    QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • BSc / B.Com Degree or Diploma equivalent. 
    • Post graduate qualifications in relevant field (advantageous).
    • S/4 Hana Experience.
    • Certification in a Programming language.

    Work Experience:

    • 10 Years Master Data Cleansing Experience, with 7 years technical expertise in data models, database design, data mining and segmentation techniques.
    • S/4 Hana Experience.
    • 5-7 Years Project Management Experience.
    • Business Mining experience and production process.

    Competencies:

    • Strong functional/ technical knowledge across the Supply Chain value chain.
    • Project Management skills.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organisation at all levels.
    • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to absorb and work under pressure.
    • Good organization and co-ordination skills required.

    Mineral Rights Officer - Witbank

    The incumbent in this role is responsible for the following components within the Regulatory Affairs Department - Mineral Rights, BBB-EE verification processes and the implementation of the SLP and Mining Charter targets throughout the implementation cycle which includes Governance, Strategy, Performance, Assurance and Improvement, and Communication.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Providing input into the BBB-EE verification processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and improvement of the level/rating.
    • Assisting with the compilation, submission, implementation and monitoring of the SLP and Mining Charter targets throughout the implementation cycle which includes Governance, Strategy, Performance, Assurance and Improvement, and communication.
    • Maintaining adequate administrative and record keeping systems.
    • Engaging with internal stakeholders and keeping up with external developments to ensure that internal processes keep up to ensure legislative compliance and security of tenure.
    • Ensuring compliance to all applicable legislated dates for submission and implementation.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Law Degree or equivalent.
    • BBB-EE Certificate will be an added advantage.
    • Driver’s license (Code EB/08).

    Minimum Experience

    • 3 Years’ experience in the mining, government regulation, legal practice or consulting environment.

    Administrator - Inventory

    The incumbent in this role is responsible for controlling access of Vendors to the mine premises in terms of deliveries and collections of goods to and from the mine.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Updating SAP MM/PM and COUPA with relevant delivery note information and processing the relevant transactions.
    • Ensuring the accuracy, completeness and validity of all goods and materials delivered or collected by Vendors.
    • Ensuring that goods and materials conform to the specifications of orders and as possible determine that they are of an acceptable quality.
    • Ensuring that goods and materials were offloaded and signed for by the relevant mine representative.
    • Ensuring that the correct goods and materials are collected from the mine by Vendors.
    • Monitoring and expediting outstanding collections and deliveries.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Grade 12.
    • Certificate in Inventory Management.
    • Basic Rigging, Forklift and Overhead Crane license.
    • Driver’s license Code EB (08).

    Minimum Experience

    • Inventory experience will be advantageous.
    • MS Office and SAP MM/PM proficiency.
    • Behaviour Competencies:
