    IT Enterprise Solutions Engineer - ERP

    Role Overview: 

    • The IT Enterprise Solutions Engineer - ERP to own the full lifecycle of its Epicor Kinetic ERP platform and integrated application estate. Reporting to the Director of Global IT, the successful candidate acts as the bridge between IT and various business units, translating strategic needs into scalable technology solutions.
    • The engineer leads the implementation, stabilization, optimization, and expansion of ERP, MES, and related systems across the company's global footprint. This includes driving phased rollouts (modules, integrations, sites, and entities), managing daily platform operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting cross-time-zone operations between South Africa and the US.

    Key Responsibilities: 
    ERP Architecture & Platform Operations

    • Administers the Epicor Kinetic estate (LIVE, TEST, DEV), including environment refreshes, backups, baseline-aligned version upgrades, and patch management.
    • Oversees system architecture design, technology stack alignment, infrastructure scaling, and database health (SQL Server monitoring, recovery models, and system agent checks).
    • Maintains deployment registers for customizations, Application Studio setups, BPM directives, Epicor Functions, and configuration changes.

    Integration Design & Operations

    • Designs, implements, and maintains internal and external system integrations (MES, CRM, Banking/FNB/JP Morgan, Tax/Avalara, Shipping/QuickShip, Concur).
    • Utilizes middleware, REST, and OData APIs to establish workflows, data mapping, and retry/replay procedures for failed interface messages.

    Governance, Security & Master Data

    • Administers user provisioning, role-based security, field-level security, and periodic segregation of duties (SoD) reviews.
    • Executes controlled data loads/corrections using DMT and enforces master data governance to maintain the ERP as the single source of truth.
    • Oversees the reporting catalog, BAQs, SSRS reports, and label printing infrastructure (BarTender).

    Rollouts, Hypercare & Project Delivery

    • Leads technical project plans, RAID logs, and command-center operations for new module and site rollouts.
    • Manages cutover playbooks, dress rehearsals, go/no-go gates, and same-day back-entry controls for offline operations.
    • Provides severity-based incident triage, resolves implementation escalations, and manages vendor/partner relationships.

    Process Control & Regulated Compliance

    • Maintains CSV (Computer System Validation) evidence, change control records, and lot mask integrity in line with ISO 13485 / GMP requirements.
    • Safeguards financial posting integrity, traceability, label accuracy, and Certificate of Analysis (CofA) outputs.
    • Establishes offline operating procedures and conducts periodic process-health reviews with super-users to prevent process drift.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Education: Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related tertiary field.
