    Assistant Director: Bulk Connections _ MN3977/25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. B Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent NQF level 7 in electrical. Professional Registration certificate added advantage.
    • Have a reliable and roadworthy vehicle (proof to be provided). Valid drivers’ licence. Meet MFMA minimum competency requirements or qualify for dispensation. Project Management and Financial Management skills and experience

    DUTIES

    • Investigate and check electrical consumption to ensure correct usage and correct faulty accounts based on outcome of investigations, including but not limited to: Bulk electrical Meters. Commercial electrical Meters. Household electrical Meters.
    • High & Abnormal Consumption. Low electrical Consumption. No electrical Consumption. Responsible for the supervision and monitor of staff within the section. Manage & Monitor External Services Providers. Project Management. Plan network extensions relating to new Town Developments.
    • Collect information on network extensions MV and LV and forward to IMQS for updating plans. Calculate network capacity, fault levels, cable size, services connection cost & Bulk Connections. Calculate and supply all customers that require electrical cost of connections including meter costs.

    Assistant Director: Energy _ MN3978/25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • B Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent NQF level 7. Valid drivers’ licence. Have a reliable and roadworthy vehicle (proof to be provided). Meet MFMA minimum competency requirements or qualify for dispensation. Project Management and Financial Management skills and experience.

    • Prepare electrical bulk consumer accounts for the town treasurer. Manage and control contracted vendors. Attending to all complaints received in a professional manner.
    • Responsible for the management and control of the capital budget for related projects. Submit monthly reports to Council and Executive Director on electrical sales and purchase statistics.

    General Worker: Water Section _ MN3967/25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 10. Grade 12 (added advantage). Valid Driver’s License (added advantage). Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (must be bilingual).

    Heavy Machine Operator: Bulldozer _ MN3974/25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 10. Grade 12 will be an added advantage. Valid driver’s license. Heavyduty machine Operating Certificate Bulldozer certificate (NQF 2). Communication and interpersonal skills.
    •  Skills and competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, problem solving skills and attention to detail. A hardworking selfdisciplined person. Skilful handling and operating of the HeavyDuty Machinery.

    DUTIES

    • Operations: Responsible for operating heavy duty machine on landfill sites, transfer stations. Spread out and compact waste as per the norms and standard and relevant Waste Management Licences Cell construction and closure. Hauling and stockpiling cover dirt, aggregates and other materials used in landfill operations.  Responsible for maintenance of access roads within the site to ensure efficient movement of vehicles Responsible to execute daily works order received from the Site Supervisor and/ or Foreman.
    • Fleet maintenance and Monitoring: Inspecting equipment for defects and maintaining records of repairs performed. Responsible for all equipment which are used in association with the position. Collaborating closely with Spotters to identify designated fill areas for incoming waste. Taking instructions from the Site Supervisor and management. Responsible for completing daily logbooks, reporting hours of operation and any incidents onsite. Monitoring machinery functions such as oil levels and coolant levels to ensure safe operation.
    • Compliance with relevant legislations: Ensure compliance to predetermined compacting methods. Coordinating with other workers to ensure that operations onsite meet safety standards. Perform rough excavation to prepare new landfill cells and conduct finish grading to create proper drainage and slopes. Taking appropriate actions to control landfill fire onsite.  Responsible for all safety requirements and ensuring those safety regulations are followed when using equipment. Perform any other related ad hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by Supervisor and Foreman from time to time.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Monitor risk exposure and prepare reports for HOD’s and different committees. –Assist with promoting a risk culture through workshops, induction, risk awareness and ongoing collaboration with departments. -assist with the drafting of items to Council. -Administrative support related to monitoring and reporting of compliance to the MFMA requirements. 
    • Assist to coordination and facilitation of the audit process, including planning and communication with internal and external auditors. -Support departments in preparing and submitting required audit documentation and ensure timely responses to audit queries. 
    • Monitoring the audit progress, follow up on responses to audit findings, and tracking the implementation of audit recommendations to promote continuous audit readiness.
    • Compilation of OPCA implementation plan. -Updating progress, monitoring and reporting on the addressing of the findings raised by the Auditor-General on a weekly basis to management.  -coordinate and monitor all insurance management related activities for the municipality: compilation and maintenance of an insurance claims register; liaise with insurer/insurance broker, public, attorneys and departments on a daily basis with regards to submitting and providing claims information; compilation of a litigation insurance claim register for auditors and financial statements purpose.     REQUIREMENTS
