    Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator

    Job Advert Summary    

    TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. We provide health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB, including adolescent girls and young women, sex workers and people who use drugs.     Minimum Requirements    

    • Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences or Health Information Sciences
    • More than 3 years’ experience in the HIV AIDS and STI programme data as well as information management background
    • ETR, TIER.net, DHIS and Orbit will be advantageous
    • Data management, report writing and reporting and data collection
    • Experience working with multi-stakeholders in eThekwini district will be advantageous
    • Proficiency in English and another South African language
    • Computer literate in MS office
    • Valid code 08 drivers licence
    • Clear criminal record

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Monitor recording of HIV/TB, OST and STI clients’ data
    • Reporting quarterly and semi-annual statistics with narratives
    • Writing up and presenting outcomes of project at conferences
    • Training and development of reporting tools
    • Evaluating reporting tools
    • Quality Assurance

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

    Professional Nurse Counsellor

    Purpose of the position:

    To provide a comprehensive Wellness mobile health service by providing HIV testing and counselling services linked to screening and diagnosing clients for TB/STI’s. Provision of treatment and clinical care to HIV & TB patients and ensure successful linkage to care and adherence with specific focused on key populations

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Degree/Diploma in Nursing qualification
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in nursing, post registration
    • NIMART accreditation would be an advantage
    • Clinical HIV management experience is mandatory
    • Previous coordination/management role and experience working with key populations would be a great advantage
    • Clear criminal record
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Proficiency in English and isiXhosa; fluency in Afrikaans is advantageous
    • Valid code 8 driver’s licence preferred

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Coordinate and conduct outreach HIV, TB and STI services in the community, workplace, correctional services, farms schools and DOH facilities 
    • Provide an enhanced appropriate package of treatment, care and support of clients diagnosed with HIV, TB, STI’s, and other health related conditions 
    • Ensure successful referrals and linkage to care of 95% of key populations affected by HIV or TB
    • Conduct sensitisation training and secure the provision of KP friendly services at nominated sites, in consultation with WCG and other officials
    • Ensure period reporting is conducted in line with WCG and internal organisational norms and standards
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to scale up TB/HIV service provision to key populations
    • Maintain relations with health services and other NGO’s working to support program
    • Participate in key populations work’s support meetings and structures as directed by the WCG project manager
