    Business Development Engineer - Digital Solutions

    Main duties and responsibilities:

    Know your customer, your market, and Epiroc’s solutions:

    • Stay abreast of relevant safety regulations and industry standards related to safety systems in mining.
    • Clearly understand the key challenges our customers and how our digital solutions solve them.
    • Understanding our current suite of digital products and helping customers understand the value and ROI of our products and solutions.
    • Actively develop new business, including an actionable territory management plan with ambitious growth targets.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers (technical and business) at current and prospective clients.
    • Develop meaningful relationships with industry partners to advance mutual growth objectives.
    • Deeply understand our Digital Solutions offerings and present as a believed advisor to our prospects.
    • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the market, including prospects, partners and competitors, and work collaboratively with marketing, product development and other internal groups to maximize our offerings.

    Sales management and execution:

    • Keep meticulous records in our preferred CRM.
    • Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, RFP responses, executive summaries, etc. that exceed customers’ expectations.
    • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, industry meetings and virtual events to initiate and progress sales.
    • Lead sales activities from initial contact through deal close
    • Generate new software licenses and technology product business opportunities through direct contact with mining companies and mining contractors.
    • Generate upsell opportunities to existing customers, including account planning for key customers.
    • Align and verify the proposed solution and pricing with the regional business manager and global sales support.
    • Secure that the solution is in line with the product portfolio and that the needed resources are allocated for implementation and handover to support.
    • Responsible for customer contact negotiations. Handover to local and central project organizations after contract signing.

    Collaboration and competence development:

    • Ensuring that you establish and maintain a relationship with local partners that are included in the digital ecosystem.
    • Work together with the national sales teams within Epiroc to find synergies and create new business opportunities.
    • Work with local CC and Global Marketing to plan and create leads-generating activities.
    • Organize and deliver sales training and information sessions for internal stakeholders to create awareness of Digital products.
    • Actively report and communicate customer requirements, trends, issues, and opportunities.
    • Anything and everything else you and we can think of to drive success

    Education and Experience:

    • A degree in information systems, computer science or engineering. Alternatively, you can have a degree in business administration in combination with working experience within a technical environment.
    • Minimum 5 years of working experience in sales/business development for software / digital solutions in B2B with a proven record of success.
    • You have experience with interacting with and consulting customers on complex technical solutions.
    • Ideally you are familiar with the mining and underground construction industry.

    • Ability to work independently or as an integrated team member, as the situation requires.
    • Strong written and verbal communication; native level fluency in English, additional languages an asset
    • Fully computer literate with skill in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Frontline Administrator

    Purpose: 

    The purpose of this role is to provide the highest standard of initial customer service and provide first line information aligned to the company objectives and values, as well as perform various administrative functions.

    Required Competencies (Knowledge, Skill, Experience and Attitude)

    Responsibilities

    • Receiving of visitors and putting them in contact with the appropriate staff member.
    • Arranging for refreshment for visitors from the canteen.
    • Keeping the reception area and reception rooms tidy and appealing to the visitors.
    • Ensure that all meeting rooms are arranged, and all refreshment requests are provided.
    • Receive, screen and direct incoming calls in a professional, prompt, and courteous manner.
    • Maintain and have a thorough knowledge of the switchboard system including electronic messages/assistance.
    • Maintenance of the after-hours switchboard function i.e. recorded greeting.
    • Report any switchboard problems (eg extensions not working, extensions required etc) to the Epiroc IT.
    • Distribution on a regular basis of updated extension numbers and DC numbers to members of staff.
    • Distribution of incoming post, faxes and emails.
    • Sending of outgoing faxes.
    • Arrangement of company post collection.
    • Ordering and maintaining the stock of stationery and toner cartridges.
    • Issue and control of stationery usage.
    • Maintain healthy and productive working relationships with all departments and individuals across the organisation.
    • Maintain professional and productive relationships with customers, contractors and suppliers.
    • All work delivered to the required standard and quality.

    Junior Accounting to Reporting Specialist

    Main duties and responsibilities:

    • Ensure the delivery of quality Accounting to Reporting (A2R) services to the sub-Saharan organisations in line with Service Level Agreements and the Epiroc Way as well as business requirements
    • Support the implementation of improvements to processes and tools in A2R
    • Assist with improving and implementing process alignment in the Region
    • Perform day to day activities
    • Continuously look for improvement opportunities in processes and ways of working, while using digitization and Robotic Process Automation as an enabler to achieve further efficiencies
    • Participate in projects for the A2R Regional Centre of Excellence Team
    • Contribute to an excellent communication flow with stakeholders in the Region and relevant parts of the Global organisation
    • Ensure agreed procedures are maintained and adhered to within the team
    • You will be expected to carry out any other function or duty as may be required in terms of "The Epiroc Way"

    Education and Experience:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accountancy
    • 2-3 years experience in an accounting environment  or accounting articles completion.
    • 2-5 years' experience in working in an A2R team in a multinational Shared Service organization will be an advantage.
    • Past experience in an Industrial machinery and working experience with countries in Africa would be preferred.
    • Bank reconciliations experience working across various banks in Africa.
    • Forex exposure and working with different currencies
    • Intercompany reporting exposure and working closely with the Accounts payable team
    • Understanding of the Accounts receivable and Accounts payable process in a Multi national environment.
    • Entry level general ledger recons
    • Microsoft teams/SharePoint knowledge
    • Assistance with month end reporting

    Competence:

    • Fluency in English is a key requirement.
    • Proven ability to build relationships and trust with internal and external stakeholders
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Knowledge of SAP BW,BPCS-AS 400, Infor M3,BPC SAP
    • Lotus Notes, SharePoint and Microsoft Office will be an advantage
