    Infrastructure Engineer

    PURPOSE:

    To configure and prototype applications, conduct end-user training and ensure compliance to demand management processes.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Job Description    Reporting to the department team manager, the Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for enhancing, delivering and supporting, high quality services and/or systems in their area of responsibility, to enable Sage’s business plans and long-term objectives using the identified architecture.

    Primary Responsibilities: Systems Monitoring

    • The infrastructure Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining the global enterprise Systems Centre Operations Manager (SCOM platform). The SCOM platform within Sage is the “single pane of glass” for monitoring all technology systems and applications globally.
    • The infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with Windows and Linux systems engineers, application technical support analysts and developers, internal and external support teams to determine requirements for filters, events, alerts, and dashboards and reporting in various monitoring tools.
    • This role also has responsibility for supporting the other System Center components including Configuration Manager, Service Manager and Orchestrator, as necessary.
    • Key Responsibilities    Support and maintenance within a team of the global monitoring system
    • Establishment and further development of the existing monitoring solution
    • Create customized monitoring solutions for application monitoring
    • Perform administrative tasks from the Operation Manager console, provide application support for the SCOM platform and create and maintain monitoring and notification rules.
    • Review and create SCOM console roles and install custom Management Packs (MP) as needed.
    • Deliver SCOM views via Remote Desktop Web Access, create custom reports on results of SCOM monitoring, using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) technologies, and provide problem resolution for SCOM components and related custom scripts.
    • Utilize verbal and written communication skills to maintain accurate system documentation and provide training as required
    • Manage customer satisfaction through effectively communicating and managing customer expectations
    • Ability to communicate how to leverage technology to create business value and become more effective and efficient
    • Work with project managers and peers to understand and solve challenging technical problems, produce effort estimates, and improve system functionality, reliability and reduce costs.
    • Work closely with a Business Technology peers and management emphasizing collaboration and joint effort to ensure that the needs and expectations of organizational stake holders are met and/or exceeded.

    Secondary Responsibilities:

    • Server Patching and Endpoint Management (WSUS & SCCM)
    • Engineer will be responsible for software distribution and patch management as well as building and deploying software packages to servers and workstations using Systems Centre Configurations Manager SCCM.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Working knowledge and hands on experience with SCCM 2016 / SCCM 2019
    • Software distribution
    • Server patch management
    • Auditing of hardware/software inventory

    Technical / professional qualifications:

    • 5 years of experience with the SCOM Server Infrastructure and/or System Center Operations Management is a requirement.
    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology
    • Preferred Skills/Experience:
    • Experience with the installation and administration of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2016 /2019
    • Experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring
    • Experience using the Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripting engine to automate tasks with SCOM
    • Experience with System Center Configuration Manager 2016 /2019
    • Experience with System Center Orchestrator
    • Knowledge of server virtualization technologies, preferably VMware and/or Microsoft technologies
    • Knowledge of LAN/WAN network infrastructure technologies, preferably experience with Solarwinds
    • Knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, SSH, TELNET, SNMP, FTP
    • ITIL Certification is a plus.

    Retention Advisor - Accounting & Payroll

    Job Description    
    A retention advisor is responsible for managing all aspects of contract renewals for the segment in which they operate. As such their key responsibilities include ensuring customer retention, customer migration and renewal plus migration revenue targets are met and exceeded on annual customers, through solid collaboration across internal lines of business and, externally with customers and Sage Business Partners, via digital communication.

    Key Responsibilities    
    Key accountabilities, activities, and decision ownership:

    • Ensure customer queries are responded to ethically within the specified turnaround time via digital responses
    • Ensure that all revenue targets and retention rates are met and exceeded
    • Maintain productivity targets including outbound and inbound calls reactively
    • Champion migration from Sage 50 Desktop to Cloud by contacting customers telephonically, to provide value selling and achieve revenue targets associated with the project
    • Champion migration from Sage 50 Perpetual to Advantage by contacting paid customers telephonically, to provide value selling and achieve unit targets associated with the project
    • Ensure customer churn is documented and accurately reported monthly for annual customers
    • Comply with all internal administrative and data requirements.
    • Drive sales appropriate campaigns into customer base to effectively increase retention
    • Maintain highest levels of service and customer satisfaction
    • Ability to work collaboratively internally as well as across other lines to business to ensure customers queries are responded to effectively and efficiently

    Graduate Software Automation Engineer

    Job Description    

    This role is one that demands curiosity, a passion for learning on the job and being managed to build up a skill set that will enable the team member to confidently identify, plan, design, develop, and maintain projects and processes that can extend the reach of automation with the goal of reducing/redirecting manual testing costs while increasing product quality. As part of the Associate Automation Test Engineer role, the team member must adhere to the team processes and test standards already in place and develop an appreciation and understanding of test practices and principles. The Associate Automation Test Engineer will work closely with the delivery team to accurately record and communicate issues found during test phases and accurately record time spent on tasks during the project.
    Key Responsibilities    

    • Gain an understanding of how customers use the products under test
    • Gain an understanding of formal testing principles, approaches and test automation tools and techniques e.g. rapid software testing, security testing, usability testing, load testing, automating principles
    • Seek to learn and demonstrate a level of understanding of the system under test to allow creation of automation tests

    • Create automation tests that maximise the efficiency of the test phase, cover all requirements and allow for a timely delivery of products and/or components

    • Demonstrate an understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and continuous improvement of practices in it

    • Participate in the development of automation project plans, scope, schedule and implementation of test and project level architecture within the automation framework. This will involve communicating both internally and externally with cross functional areas impacted by automation.
    • Interaction and support of Test Engineers and Developers within projects to understand where automation is most valuable and as part of these interactions share automation skills
    • Track and analyse test results, take corrective action, report automation summaries, and update statuses
    • Participate in the analysis, design, development, and ongoing maintenance of automated tests and automation architecture for ATP/XTreeM

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in computer science, computer engineering or a similar field
