Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Monitoring Optimization Specialist with extensive experience in Splunk and AppDynamics to enhance our monitoring capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance monitoring and optimization, as well as proficiency in other monitoring tools.
• Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implement Monitoring Solutions

• Develop and deploy effective monitoring frameworks using Splunk and AppDynamics to track application and infrastructure performance.

Data Analysis and Visualization

• Analyze performance data to identify trends and anomalies; create comprehensive dashboards in Splunk to visualize key metrics for stakeholders.

Performance Tuning

• Optimize application performance by leveraging AppDynamics to pinpoint bottlenecks and recommend actionable improvements.

Custom Alerts and Thresholds

• Configure and manage custom alerts and thresholds in AppDynamics and Splunk to proactively notify teams of performance degradation.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of monitoring configurations, processes, and findings; prepare detailed reports for management review.

Collaboration with Development Teams

• Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure that applications are built with monitoring in mind, facilitating a DevOps culture.

Benchmarking and Performance Reviews

• Establish performance benchmarks and regularly review system performance against these benchmarks using data from monitoring tools.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in monitoring practices and tool usage, staying updated with industry trends.

SQL Query Development

• Utilize basic SQL knowledge to extract relevant data from databases, supporting monitoring efforts and providing deeper insights.

Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis

• Conduct thorough investigations of monitoring alerts, utilizing Splunk for root cause analysis and recommending solutions to prevent recurrence.

Collaboration with Security Teams

• Partner with security teams to ensure that monitoring tools are also used to detect and respond to security incidents.

Capacity Planning

• Assist in capacity planning by analyzing current system performance metrics and forecasting future resource needs based on monitoring data.

Qualifications:

• Any Graduate with Technology Background (Mandatory)

Preferred Skills:

• Extensive experience with Splunk and AppDynamics.
• Relevant certifications in monitoring tools or cloud platforms are a plus.
• Experience with cloud monitoring solutions will add advantages.
• Understanding of application performance management (APM) concepts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database querying.
