    Specialist: Revenue Assurance - Midrand

    Role Purpose

    • To manage the control environments for Liquid Intelligent Technologies operating companies, including the incident management process for regional and individual opcos. To ensure validity, accuracy, and completeness of all revenue streams. To conduct analysis, mapping, development, monitoring of revenue and fraud related controls.

    Role Description 

    Revenue Assurance Operational Planning and Execution

    Revenue Assurance

    • Contributing inputs into and ensuring the implementation of the Liquid Group Revenue Assurance Management Operational Plan. Contributing inputs into and ensuring the implementation of the Liquid Group Fraud Monitoring Operational Plan. Design and implement the allocated revenue stream control operation schedule, incorporating stakeholder needs, risk levels, resource capacity and available time. Collect and analyse data to facilitate the design and configuration of controls across all allocated operating companies. Coordinates and executes all allocated revenue stream operational activities, oversees the effective execution of all operational controls and processes to detect, correct and prevent loss of revenue/Validate and provide detailed analysis including proposed resolutions on control exceptions to the local, regional and group structures. Root cause analysis to identify issues and incidents for all major incidents performed monthly.

    Risk Management

    • Regular updates with new/changes in risk/controls to ensure the allocated revenue stream and Fraud Risk and Control Framework is kept relevant. Undertaking a transactional level analysis of the underlying data and conducting analytics with the aim of identifying risks, relationships. Periodic review of the controls and risk assessment to align to current business processes. Implement and maintains control and reporting system/process to highlight issue of revenue/cost and opportunity costs leakages.

    Group RAFM Shared Services

    • Assists the Group RAFM Shared Services in the design and evaluation of the effectiveness of the new/existing controls and process matrix.To support overall Group Revenue Assurance Shared Service operational performance and interfaces to customers. Support the development of policies, processes, procedures, and LIT Group Best Practices through active collaboration with the Group RAFM shared services team.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Management of the suppliers, customers, and stakeholders in the performance of operational controls to ensure service levels are achieved and managed. Completion of monthly SLA reviews with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders. Support for the framework development for the supply and performance of services from and to these customer and stakeholders. Taking ownership of the review, and input to audit findings, ensuring an optimal outcome for all the controls under review
    • Involvement, as key customer in the specification, evaluation, design, and implementation of technologies. Measured by the number of changes requested to enhance system, process, or controls within Group Revenue Assurance technology. Support the Group Controls & Processes team in performing risk assessments of change within the organization relating to projects and other operational change (IT, Sales, Marketing and Networks etc).

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Ownership of the allocated revenue stream change management cycle from configuration, product changes in requirement definition, solution acceptance, testing and implementation. Group Technology management – Drive inputs into control automation specification, design, UAT, sign off and implementation to support Continuous Improvement. Involvement, as key customer in the specification, evaluation, design, and implementation of technologies. Data mining, management, processing, retention, and recovery strategies. Engagement with key stakeholders in the review and agreement of process improvement motivations completed.

    Operations Incident Process Management

    Incident Reporting and Performance Management

    • Maintenance of a comprehensive incident reporting system covering issue analysis, confirming the nature, classification, and impact of the incident. Validate and provide detailed analysis and document precise incident on the incident management report. Management of the incident resolution workflow, ensuring operational process custodians have taken responsibility for resolution. Roll out and management of internal projects to address process improvement initiative with the focus on resolution and closure. Escalation and communication of the impact of the issues to management and executives. Performed monthly by submission of an open and closed incident summary report to the relevant senior management, executives or Chief for the impacted process.

    Fraud Management and Prevention

    • Coordinate and manage cases of fraud investigations with emphasis of keeping stakeholders informed from incident detection to closure. Maintenance of the Group Fraud register by keeping an updated record of blacklisted numbers and high-risk destinations. Drive communication and coordination of fraud incidents with other operators.Familiarise self with Group Fraud Management policies, processes and procedures and ensure that these are applied correctly and consistently across the organization. Proactively research industry Fraud Management best practice and processes to identify opportunities for improvement to Fraud Management controls and processes.

    Reporting and performance management

    Reporting:

    • Tabling of incident reports to the Group RAFM management. Presenting Group RAFM performance to various stakeholders, including Finance management, Exco, and other stakeholders. Developing and publishing of Dashboard reports ensuring availability to users. Periodically reports Group RA performance to the Group RAFM Management.

    Specialist: KAM (NW Partner) KZN - Durban

    Role Purpose

    To maximize revenue opportunities through establishing, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with strategic customers as well as defining and executing sales strategies that focus on increased sales and profitability. Managing strategic accounts and delivering profitable, long-term revenue from nominated accounts. Ensuring delivery of annual revenue targets through delivery of information, communication and technology solutions. Establishing appropriate relationships with customers and leverages those relationships to achieve financial targets. Work collaboratively to set up service relationship for nominated accounts. Serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned group of top tier client accounts with responsibility retain and grow these accounts.

    Role Description

    Deliver on Sales strategy (Target)

    • Deliver robust account plans to achieve sales objectives. Implement commercial strategies and then execute in line with company policies. Present Liquid Telecoms services and offerings to assigned/new customers while leading account planning cycles and ensuring that the customers’ needs, and expectations are met. Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer requirements on an on-going basis. Implement a detailed sales strategy for all strategic accounts. Track and record sales activities on all accounts on SFDC.Collaborating very closely with teams from other departments within Liquid. Partner with internal cross-functional teams to understand customer goals and key performance metrics.
    • Build and grow client Relationships to ensure excellent customer experience.
    • Understand clients' business and generate new ideas to improve the customers’ business. Build trust, credibility, and client referrals. Maintain or improve account profitability by customizing solutions as per customer requirements.     Senior Specialist: Lease Accounting - Midrand

    Role Purpose

    • To be a subject matter expert on all aspects relating International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)16 lease accounting and reporting thereof. This includes assessment of potential lease transaction, identifying lease components per contract in line with the requirements of IFRS 16, measurement for initial recognition or adoption, management of the monthly process for right of asset (“ROU”) asset and liability depreciation and interest amortisation journals. Single point of contact from a finance perspective for all lease accounting posting and reporting. Support and guide business with IFRS 16 requirement in respect of leased sites, circuits, motor vehicles and office buildings contracts. Analyse contract requirements to ensure compliance with IFRS 16 requirements especially for off-net partners and advise business on appropriate contracting terms to follow. Monthly follow-up with business units in order to determine new contracts entered into during the month as well as any contract cancellation and or modifications required to update the IFRS 16 computation.

    Role Description

    MANAGE THE-TO-END LEASE ACCOUNTING PROCESS

    • Maintaining the IFRS 16 computation schedule for LIT SA contracts and ensuring all new qualifying leases are accounted for monthly. This includes ensuring expired leases are followed up with business to ensure timely renewals are done or processed accordingly. Ensuring payment reallocation from Profit & Loss to balance sheet are done accurately. Maintain a tracker of all leases with their respective termination dates and implement a business rule for identifying and renewing/cancellation of leases before they expire. Review, validate and approve all new leases in line with company strategy. Maintain a lease computation schedule for all expired leases that are on a month-to-month payment plan. Advise the business and finance around the impact of IFRS in relation to new lease rentals, budgets and forecasts.

    REVIEW OF LEASE COMPUTATION AND PERFORMANCE OF COMPLETENESS TESTING

    • Conduct a quarterly completeness test for all active lease sites recognised as per IFRS 16 computation schedule and compare against live site report (site on air), follow-up and resolution of exceptions identified. Conduct a half-year payment completeness testing to identify leases that are being paid for but not accounted for on the IFRS 16 computation schedule, follow-up and resolution of exceptions identified. Compile lease computation schedule for all valid/active contracts (valid exceptions identified as per completeness testing exercise) i.e. month-to-month contracts in line with company strategy. Contribute towards proper ownership and management of lease contract management across LIT SA. This entails escalation of any expired or month-to-month lease contracts to business to initiate the contract renewal process or cancellation procedures.

    FINANCE REPORTING AND AUDIT

    •  Prepare monthly roll forward schedule for IFRS 16 lease accounting for both ROU asset and liability. Monthly reporting of short-term and long-term lease liability supported by a detailed and accurate lease maturity schedule. Prepare and submit monthly reconciliations for all lease accounting general ledger accounts by end of day working day 4 to Senior Manager: Technology Support Function Group reporting requirements including modelling of IFRS 16 impact. Review of P&L GL accounts for rental payment allocation to ensure that payment reclassification for capitalised leases has been posted to correct GL accounts. Liaison with internal and external auditors and ensure all audit schedules are accurate and timely. Prepare accounting position papers in relation to IFRS 16 for audit proposes.

    MAINTAIN PROPER ACCOUNTING RECORDS AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION 

    • Compile a lease register for all capitalised lease contracts. Keep copies of all new lease contracts capitalised.Ensure updated IBR rates used for NPV calculation are aligned with group directives. Ensure all roll forward schedules are prepared and duly reviewed and authorised.Ensure proper support and evidence is maintained for audit purposed.

    FINANCIAL SYSTEM SUPPORT

    • Lease maintenance and management system – assist the Senior Manager: Technology Support Function with sourcing and onboarding of a lease management system. Maintain, develop and implement internal controls particularly in relation to the end-to-end accounting process for leases. Implement policies and develop procedures for the management of leases. Implement constant improvement on current systems and procedures for internal efficiencies.
