    Junior Supply Chain Analyst - Westville

    • The purpose of this role is to support the provisioning of complex, in depth Supply Chain solutions to existing and prospective customers (Internal and External), applying Supply Chain knowledge to real business requirements to ensure a cost effective, executable solution is provided that satisfies customer requirements and add the required value.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Industrial & Systems Engineering degree (University Level).
    • Minimum of 1-2 years’ working experience in a supply chain environment, preferably with transport, network, warehouse modelling experience,
    • Network/Transport modelling and Costing experience would be advantageous

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Supply Chain Modelling – Network- & Transport Analysis:

    • Provide support in identifying future long-term requirements of the Supply Chain network.
    • Participate in modelling the long term and medium-term scenarios.

    Process and Optimisation:

    • Provide analysis and research inputs into warehouse optimisation, supply chain initiatives, and general operations
    • Evaluate warehouse layouts and flow, and identify opportunities for efficiencies
    • Support the activation of initiative

    Data Management & Analytics:

    • Assist with creation, maintenance & improvement of key analytical models feeding into supply chain design models & adhoc behavioral analysis to drive optimisation.
    • Identification of data required to meet Supply Chain modelling requirements.
    • Cleansing, consolidation, transformation & validation of multiple data sources (types & systems) based on analysis requirements.

    General:

    • Develop and deliver compelling presentations using data and graphics to communicate insights and implications for Supply Chain decision making.
    • Under the direction of the Supply Chain Solutions Architect, work closely with cross-functional teams from Customer-, Commercial-, Operations-, Planning- and IT departments to deliver innovative Supply Chain solutions and a superior customer experience.
    • Provide support, analysis and insight regarding network-, warehouse- and transport optimization and solution design.

    Self Coordination:

    • Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning, prioritising and self-development.
    • Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.

    Knowledge Required:

    • An understanding of multiple key performance indicators, inter-relationship and bottom-line sensitivity
    • Operations processes and associated KPIs
    • Business Intelligence platforms and systems
    • Review and validate data, build and validate models, run scenarios, and assist in the preparation of client presentations.Simulation & Optimisation experience (using appropriate modelling tools and applications e.g Supply Chain Guru)

    Mobile Solutions Analyst - Roodepoort

    • RCL FOODS expects the suitable incumbent to ensure that targeted business benefits to be derived from the mobile solution are achieved and that correct technical integration between SAP and the solutions vendors are realised.
    • The role will be based in Roodepoort and will report to the Sales Executive Business Intelligence.

    Minimum Requirements   

    • Degree / Diploma in Information Technology / B.Com
    • Valid Code EB drivers' license.
    • Must have experience in Outlook, Word (communication), PowerPoint (presentations), Excel (data management/analysis and as a planning tool), Microsoft Project (optional), SAP and AM office.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the relevant business function or information technology environment and mobility.
    • Demonstrated success in managing projects relating to superior performance and continuous improvement.

    Knowledge of:

    • An understanding of multiple key performance indicators, inter-relationship and bottom line sensitivity.
    • Intelligence platforms and systems (SAP, VSC and AM).

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Systems and Project Management:

    • Liaise in communications between Fieldko/Salesforce (third party), VTM, Vector IT and relative principals as well other service providers.
    • Liaise with the Technical Systems Administrator to ensure that issues are resolved timeously.
    • Provide feedback to all internal customers regarding systems.
    • Assist in managing the communication process for changes, enhancements to the systems used.
    • Responsible for procuring and managing all internal technical resources where and when required for the VTM department.
    • Ensure that all relevant documentation is filled and updated accordingly. This would include report briefs to the third party as well as internally call cycle templates.

    Data Administration:

    • Maintain the general data in both SAP, Salesforce & Fieldko.
    • Create and load questionnaires/audits in Fieldko.
    • Load promotional calendars in Fieldko.
    • Draw, analyse and interpret reports from Salesforce before reports are scheduled to be emailed to principal or internal regional managers and sales teams.
    • Identify continuous business Improvement opportunities within the business unit/business area.
    • Implements enhancements as per business project’s function.
    • Assist in improving and streamlining business processes and preparing business process documentation as well as change management.

    Change Management, Training and Support:

    • Facilitate mobile user change management (Focus Area) through appropriate communication channels.
    • Co-ordinate the change management and training requirements with Fieldko as they provide training as part of their service.
    • Facilitate mobile user involvement and system utilisation by identifying issues and finding solutions.
    • Conduct trade visits to evaluate solution performance and user adoption in the field.
    • Design and manage internal support programmes.
    • Support managers’ information requirements whether it be staff training; specific report requirements or audit requirements.
    • Promote system usage, benefits and returns within VTM (including management).

    Business Process Management:

    • Liaise with Fieldko consultants and Vector IT team to refine business processes.
    • Design and implement business for principal requirements to ensure uniformity and clarity of requirements.
    • Provide the associated change management support to internal customers & VTM principals.

    Technical Insight and Expertise:

    • Manage the GSM service provider.
    • Manage internal networking and performance issues.
    • Drive evolution of the mobile solution by reviewing best practice in local markets.
    • Serve as a liaison between the business and technical consultants to ensure the implementation of identified system enhancements.
    • Review and analyse technical specification documents prior to sign off by the Applications Manager and handover to developer(s).
    • Execute on small business projects requiring IT systems implementation.

    Information and Data Management:

    • Ensure team members accurately and regularly capture data onto the information system to enable access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making. Ensure relative reports are subscribed and added to exec report for VTM management viewing.
    • Share relevant data with management teams to enable reliable business decision making.
    • Identify opportunities for improving on systems/processes related to the system.
    • Similarly highlight areas for concern and address with relevant managers.

    Administration:

    • Oversee filing and safeguarding of records within area of responsibility.
    • Compile ad hoc spreadsheets when required.
    • Compile ad hoc presentations when required.
    • Process documents for inter-company charge outs.

    As a Mobile Solutions Analyst, the job holder is expected to:

    • Make all operational and scheduling decisions that fall within the ambit of responsibility.
    • Solve complex conceptual and analytical problems within the ambit of responsibility.
    • Proactively identify and implement innovations, particularly those that will add insight and contribute to better decision-making in the business.
    • Apply innovative problem-solving approaches and methodology and a structured thinking towards technical problem solving.
    • Evaluate and compare various technical alternatives and understand implementation challenges.
