    Trainee Process Artisans

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • N6 Technical Certificate or NCV Level 5 (Electrical\Mechanical\Instrumentation) 
    • Knowledgeable in Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation basics
    • Good communication skills
    • Good knowledge and understanding of production process is essential.
    • Very good technical abilities with a strong work ethic
    • Ability to identify problems and/or challenges – very methodical in finding solutions.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Adhering to Factory Housekeeping standards

    • Assist with shutdown and maintenance.

    Environmental & Safety Officer

    Job Purpose

    An opportunity for a Environmental Health & Safety Officer has become available at Pegasus.

    We are looking for a pro-active Safety Officer with high attention to detail to join our team. The incumbent will be an experienced person who will be responsible to oversee SHEQ activities in the factory, ensure compliance with applicable legislation, to ensure that SOP's are in place and adhered to, and to assist with the implementation, maintenance, certification and auditing of an Integrated Management System (IMS) based on ISO 9 001:2015, OHSAS 18 001: 2008 and ISO 14 001 :2015 principles

    The successful candidate will be required to work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the overall HSE and Risk Management objectives of the business.

    Key areas of responsibility:

    • Develop, implement and maintain site policies and procedures specific to the activities on factory and Site.
    • Factory and site inspections and reporting.
    • Conduct training and raising awareness.
    • Incident investigating, reporting and management.

    Qualifications:

    • National Diploma in Safety Management, BTech degree in Safety Management or a degree in a relevant field.
    • Qualifications and at least 2 years experience.
    • Experience in the implementation and maintenance of an integrated management
    • Experience in the production environment will be advantageous.
    • Computer literacy - Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point, SAMTRAC or similar.
    • Minimum first Aid Level 1 (preferable).
    • Knowledge applicable to ISO 45001 :2018 standard.
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. Experienced in manufacturing environment.

    Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

    • Incident investigation
    • In-depth knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act No of 1993 and regulations.
    • Strong administrative skills required.
    • Knowledge and experience in the Implementation, maintenance and auditing of an integrated management system ('MS) based on ISO 9001 :2015, ISO 14 001: 2015 and ISO 45001 :201 8.
    • Ability to plan his/her activities and to meet project deadlines.
    • Good presentation skills.
    • Good report writing skills
    • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Skills (HIRA).
    • Trained in incident investigation skills
    • Computer literacy — good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
