    Service Desk Engineer - 2nd Line

    We're on the hunt for a tech superstar who can troubleshoot, maintain, and support a wide range of systems, all while answering queries and complaints and reporting customer feedback. It's a crucial role, and we need someone with the grit and determination to get the job done. But don't worry, it's not all work and no play - there's plenty of room for fun and excitement on our team!


    So, what does your day-to-day look like in this role ?

    • Well, you'll be working Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm UK time. You'll be answering inbound calls within an agreed-upon answer time of just 9 seconds (yep, we're that speedy!), logging all customer issues, queries, and requests into the ticket management system, and providing Level 2 Server, Network, and Desktop Technical Support

    But wait, there's more! You'll also be responsible for actioning hardware configurations and software installations, managing and working to internal and customer SLAs (because we like to stay on top of things!), creating and maintaining customer-specific infrastructure documentation, and owning problem resolution from start to finish. And, of course, you'll need to manage client expectations through clear communication and take responsibility for your own continual professional development.

    • Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Requires an outgoing and confident personality who enjoys talking with people by telephone with a patient and clear manner.
    • Must have a logical approach to troubleshooting.
    • Must be able to understand non-technical functional requirements and ascertain the requirements from a development perspective.
    • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to build strong business relationships with the client at all levels.
    • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of all business processes with Manufacturing and Distribution companies.
    • Must be able to work alone or as part of a team.
    • A desire to succeed and see an issue through to resolution.
    • The ability to work under pressure with conflicting priorities.
    • Be willing to undertake any appropriate training for this role.

    Skills and Experience

    • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
    • Experience with Visual Studio and developing extensions using AL.
    • Experience with Dynamics NAV 2009-2018 and experience programming with C/AL & C/side would also be an advantage.
    • Microsoft SQL experience.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to self-direct and self-motivate.

    Software Support Consultant - Dynamics NAV / Business Central

    As our Support Consultant, you can provide an exceptional service to our customers relating to Dynamics NAV, Dynamics CRM and other similar products.

    You're able to assess the complexity of an issue and either deal with it yourself or escalate it to a senior colleague. You're able to ensure that all calls are logged into the helpdesk system, and progress notes are added to all calls.

    You will be trusted to manage the timely resolution of open calls and advise of your actions to the customer. It is also important you are able to form excellent relationships with all customers understanding both their IT and business needs.

    You'll pro-actively identify potential problems and issues on customer sites and investigate if these problems could occur on other sites. Potential opportunities to replace or implement new solutions or equipment to our customer’s sites should also be identified. The role involves the research and development of internal systems, liaising directly with the company directors about new technologies and market developments.

    Skills required 

    • Previous years of experience of supporting MS Dynamics NAV/CRM.
    • Some Experience of financial processes and accounting to Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet & Trial balance level.
    • Track record of managing a workload and being able to prioritize tasks based upon severity and importance.
    • Experience of Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems Server 2003 or later.
    • Experience of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or later knowledge of how to backup and restore databases, use of SQL for queries and updates.
    • Knowledge of how ERP or accounting solutions are used in businesses especially in the Manufacturing and Distribution sectors.
    • Good understanding of business processes.
