    Sr Project Leader

    Main purpose of the role:

    • This role serves as the dedicated "go-to" person for any production-related enquiries and works with various stakeholders to ensure that there is a clear understanding of the brief to be executed with efficiency and on the required quality spectrum and timeline. It has a strong focus on preproduction, shooting and post-production.

    Requirements:

    • A media production relevant qualification
    • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a relatable position in the TV production industry.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Good knowledge of the South African television broadcast landscape. Must have significant knowledge of managing content projects.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Ensuring all content projects are executed per creative briefs.
    • Budget oversight and reconciliation.
    • Timeous liaison of all role players.
    • Deadline management.
    • Monitor progress of productions and provide regular reports and updates.
    • Hands-on management of shoots. 
    • Coordinate and manage presenters, shooting crew (technical and post-production), clients (where relevant) including any freelancers on the project.
    • Creation and distribution of call sheets.
    • Schedules and associated budgets are assigned to you by the Operations Manager.
    • Working closely with post-production and the media manager regarding uploading and archiving all assets per project.
    • Responsible for necessary licenses, permits and that all clearances have been obtained for the production.
    • Understanding how to comply with regulations relating to liability, indemnity when shooting on location or in studio.

    Creative Assistant - Cape Town

    Main purpose of the role:

    • The Creative Assistant is an integral contributor on POP24’s long form projects. Creative assistants are responsible for managing the flow of content information. The main role is to work closely alongside the Creative Producer to assist in developing individual content pieces ranging from strategic longform, serialized formats to short form video content for digital use, to meet audience objectives and the needs of the unit.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant qualification.
    • A minimum of 3 years working experience in the TV production industry.
    • Must have worked in an environment where numerous projects happened at the same time.
    • Must have experience in a position that was highly pressurised.
    • Must have experience with working with limited and low budgets.
    • A valid driver’s license.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Provide administrative and organisational support to the Creative Producer.
    • Manage calendar and scheduling of meetings, check-ins and content reviews.
    • Attend and minutes all content meetings.
    • Assist the Creative Head with communication to all stakeholders (internally and externally).
    • Assist Creative Head in finding suitable cast members and talent for different shows.
    • Do basic research for pitches and development projects.
    • Write short research abstracts and summaries.
    • Source images and video for pitches and development projects. 
    • Researching topics to develop content that meets the division’s needs.
    • Compiling research packs, including interviewing sources and fact checking.
    • Research for background information on topics that form the content, and help with different aspects of planning and producing of programmes.
    • Assists with show formulation, content and formatting.

    Camera Operator - Cape Town

    Main purpose of the role:

    • Responsible for producing high-quality video & content across a range of subjects and platforms by working closely with our creative teams and clients.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant qualification.
    • A minimum of 5 years working experience as a camera operator.
    • Experience in shooting at a location and at a studio.
    • Proven track record of previous video production work, including commercials, online content, and other relevant projects.
    • Proficiency in videography including camera operation, gimble operation, studio and on location lighting, as well as sound equipment operation.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Shoot all short-video and broadcast content as per the project allocations.
    • Maintenance of all in-house gear.
    • Assist DOP’s with all technical set-ups, tasks or shoots.
    • Direct shoot where needed.
    • Storyboarding: Collaborate with the creative team to develop storyboards and shot lists for video projects.
    • Operate a wide range of video equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, grips, and sound equipment (if required).
    • Work closely with the Production Designers, Creative Producers, Wardrobe Stylist and other team members throughout the production process.
    • Stay up to date with industry and equipment trends as well as new technologies to improve skills.
    • Organize and maintain video files on shoot days as well as prepping files for handover.

    Video Editor - Cape Town

    Main purpose of the role:

    • The video editor will be responsible to edit all projects for the unit to the required delivery specifications, in multiple formats, on tight deadlines, whether using supplied footage or other digital elements from which digital AV’s should be created.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant qualification
    • A minimum of 7 years working experience in a relatable position in edit.
    • Highly proficient in Adobe Premier Pro.
    • Competency with motion graphics templates.
    • Must have experience with colour grading for broadcast.
    • Ability to select appropriate music for projects.
    • Experience with Recue a bonus.
    • Proficient in South African vernacular languages. Afrikaans is key.
    • Good knowledge of the South African television broadcast landscape and of the online video environment.
    • Extensive Reality edit experience.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Normal video editing duties including creation of motion graphics
    • Colour grade projects for broadcast.
    • Edit video footage to tell compelling stories and convey the intended message.
    • Collaborate closely with our creative team to understand project objectives and vision.
    • Maintain neat systems and meticulously labelled project files in case of handover.
    • Ensure all footage and delivered material is stored and/or archived to the Media24-allocated server.
    • A solid understanding of cloud service is required.
    • Must be highly skilled in Reality show editing.
    • Responsible for music selection from music libraries.
    • Responsible for image selection from stock libraries, if needed. 
    • To give regular updates regarding the project status and deliverables to the Head of Post and the relevant Project Leader.
    • Manage own workflow and give regular progress reports and updates to their relevant project leader and the Head of Post.
    • Should be able to be comfortable accommodating multiple notes from clients, the Creative Producer and other stakeholders.
    • Identify and implement improvements in the video editing process 
    • Continuously stay updated with industry trends and software to ensure the highest quality output.
    • Ensure that projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.

    Accounts Clerk: Banking - Cape Town

    Main purpose of the role:
    Perform routine clerical and financial administrative tasks to ensure sound and accurate financial procedures and reporting are adhered to.

    Requirements:

    Senior.Net Developer - Cape Town

    What will you do?
