    Business Intelligence Analyst - Johannesburg

    How You Will Contribute

    You will:

    • Define requirements for analysis in a given business area and perform detailed analysis and identify trends defined in the requirements
    • Identify patterns and help the business react to changing business conditions
    • Perform root-cause analysis and interpret data
    • Work with large amounts of data such as facts, figures, and mathematics/formulas and undertake analytical activities and delivers analysis outputs in accordance with customer needs and conforming to established standards
    • Understand and be involved with aspects of the data science process
    • As the investigator on the data science team, you will apply your knowledge of languages and pull data out of SQL databases, using Tableau/Power BI type tools, and producing basic data visualizations and reporting dashboards

    The role will analyze key data necessary for driving essential business intelligence, reporting, analytics and commercial modelling in aid of supporting Mondelez business priorities, in line with Revenue Growth Management levers and initiatives.

    The role will be responsible for the development, analysis and maintenance of RGM and RTM projects and tools. The candidate will be required to work cross-functionally and will play an important role in using both internal and 3rd party data to present key analysis and insights to track business performance and impact of RGM levers and initiatives. The role will drive collaboration within the business through providing and leveraging the insights from data analytics to influence key stakeholders and positive business outcomes. The overall function assists the business by empowering them with intelligence that will result in better decision-making and organizational performance.

    What you need to know about this position:

    This position (reporting to the RGM & BI Lead – South Africa) will drive the business forward by increasing insight and access to data as well as increase the capability and role of RGM by supporting and driving superior, healthy growth within the South African (“Market”) including BLNS. Specifically, this role will:

    • Gather, analyze and report on internal & external data sources, including SAP BI, Smollan, Nielsen, Spar Insights, Data Orbis, plus any other external data sources having the potential to impact and drive business forward business performance
    • Drive the adoption of business intelligence as an integral step in helping key stakeholders stay updated with their business performance by proving timeous and accurate information of their customers, categories, segments, product portfolios, etc.
    • Support the establishment, alignment, and delivery of the market’s ambition, approach & strategic roadmap for RGM
    • Provide in-depth analysis in order to uncover and unlock RGM insights and sized growth opportunities.
    • Support in the management, maintenance & implementation (as required), best-in-class RGM methodologies, processes & technologies to ensure the market has the right access to data, analytical & evaluation tools.
    • Work with & support regional team to drive specific work tracks & ad-hoc projects in market as and when as required
    • Have a good understand of the Perfect Store/Right Store principals, drive execution through reporting that supports the overall business objective.

    • Intermediate experience in implementation of systems, digital technologies, data analytics and development of models with commercial insights
