    Control Systems Engineer - Isando Plant Snacks

    Responsibilities

    What we’re looking for:

    • We're looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join the team in Isando. The main purpose of the role is designing, developing, installing, managing and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes.

    The successful incumbent will also be responsible for the following:

    • The control systems engineer provides specific value in developing and integrating automation applications for industrial plant environments.
    • Possess specific skills in the control disciplines such as Advanced Process Control (APC), Motion control, Programmable Logic
    • Controllers (PLC), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).

    • Assists other engineers and project managers in performing other aspects of projects, both in the office and at the customer’s site working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, equipment suppliers, support engineers and other internal Pepsico staff.
    • Understanding and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety Regulations and Quality standards of Pepsico and the South African Legislation.

    Qualifications

    What will qualify you for the role

    • Minimum 3 years working experience. Of which at least 2 years in the area of PLC & SCADA systems troubleshooting and development.
    • Minimum N6 or S4, preferably Btech or BSc Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
    • Troubleshooting and problem-solving;
    • Testing, maintaining and modifying existing Instrument, PLC’s and Scada systems;

    Site Security Supervisor - Klerksdorp Mill

    Responsibilities

    What we’re looking for:

    • We are looking for a Site Security Supervisor to join our dynamic team As directed by the Business Unit leadership, the Global Security Director (SSA) and in collaboration with the PepsiCo Office of Global Security, ensure that the premises allocated to, benefit from effective and sustainable security programs that mitigate risk to our people, assets and objectives while protecting PepsiCo Brands. Execute operational implementation of strategic planning as directed by Security Director – Global Security (SSA) in conjunction with Area Security Manager and/or Assistant area Security Manager
    • Physically located in Klerksdorp Mill, North West, South Africa, the role would serve as a Business Unit asset in responding to all emerging security risks and incidents on the allocated and dedicated premises. Role will be responsible for the protection of our people and Assets in Klerksdorp . FTE of  350.

    The tasks of the Site Security Supervisor include and are not limited to the following:

    • In line with the Country broader strategy, implement the Site Security Plan to identify, assess and mitigate risks to PepsiCo’s associates, facilities, proprietary information, and brand/reputation.
    • Form part of the Site Crisis Management Team, with execution of security functions as part of the Business Continuity Plans of the premises.
    • Ensure that the premises is compliant with the Site security plan (technological ,Procedural, Manned guarding ,Architectural )
    • Maintain strong working relationships with, and provide consultation to, local management teams.
    • Plan and oversee periodic security self-assessments and bi-annual security risk assessment on the premises in order to identify critical vulnerabilities and to assist in closing these risks through cost-effective, best practice security enhancements.
    • Develop and maintain working relationships with national and local security, emergency response, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities as well as with security managers of other large multinational companies.
    • Ensure compliance with PepsiCo AMESA Security Risk Management System and supporting standards and procedures.
    • Assist in delivering security awareness for PepsiCo associates and training programs to security associates.
    • Advise and assist before, during and after security incidents, including on-the-spot risk assessments and security advice to site leaders.

    • Oversee security guard companies to leverage economies of scale and lower costs. Implement and manage a effective KPI management system in accordance with Sector Security, and evaluate the service provided by the 3P Security providers on a monthly basis.
    • Manage the 3P Security Providers and evaluate their service on a monthly basis according to the set KPI’s.
    • Ensure the continued professional development of his/her security team, to include the identification of suitable individuals in longer-term succession planning.
    • Implementation of all Security Policies, Plans and Site SOP’s
    • Report Incidents immediately to Line Manager and ensure compiling of reports according to Security Policies.
    • To review the recording of CCTV on a daily basis to ensure that there are no irregularities.
    • In conjunction with Control Room Co-Ordinator provide the required evidence in the event of any security incident and support EHS on any Safety Incidents evidence if and when required

    Qualifications

    Legal Counsel: Regulatory Compliance, Competition Law and Corporate Affairs - Cape Town HQ

    We're looking for a Legal Counsel: Regulatory Compliance, Completition Law and Corporate Affairs. Successful incumbent will:

    Accountabilities

    Compliance

    • Development and driving of an integrated SA BU compliance framework, measurements and actions and a well-coordinated compliance program implementation.

    • Providing legal counsel on various commercial issues and conducted research into a variety of legal issues.
    • Anticipated legal risks facing the company and developed company policy and positions on legal and compliance issues.
    • Providing legal guidance and written opinions on all legal issues pertaining to the SA Business to ensure compliance with new and pending legislation.
    • Work alongside the Corporate Affairs team with regard to vigilance on new legislation which may be promulgated and commentary thereon.

    Research and Development

    • End-to-end legal services partner for the research and development function of the SA BU.
    • Interpretation of applicable legislation as well as legal opinions for the R&D function.
    • Legal assistance with product liability issues as well as recalls.

    Competition Law SA (including Botswana and Namibia)

    • Drive Competition law adherence and risk mitigation for SA.
    • Advising the business on Competition law risks associated with any sales strategies and trading terms.
    • Ensure a regular and robust training programme is in place across SA BU to ensure adherence to the Competition Act.
    • Advise the business of developments and Competition law matters in relevant territories as we expand into Africa (Botswana and Namibia).
    • Assist the VP and General Counsel in interacting and corresponding with the Competition Commission and Tribunal on all Merger Filings (in conjunction with the M&A legal team) and any other matters impacting the SA BU.

    Consumer Complaints

    • Advise National Quality Manager on consumer complaints, which include drafting correspondence and settlement agreements/letters with consumers and dealing with Food Law matters for the BU including consumer complaints relating to illness and foreign objects and as well as PR threats and extortion cases.
    • The first port of call-in terms of legal advice in instance of product liability matter.
    • Maintain relationships with regulators in the food safety environment, particularly, Department of Health and the National Consumer Commission, amongst others.

    Qualifications

    • Must be a university graduate from an academically recognized institution with a Law or other appropriate degree.
    • Must be a fluent in English.
    • Must have not less than 8 to 10 years post-qualification experience, ideally some completed in-house and a strong record of functional expertise.
    • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage and identify key issues in multiple complex inputs.
    • Maturity to hold firm in the face of significant commercial pressure in order to ensure the right result for PepsiCo.
    • Superb influencing and persuading skills

    Responsibilities

    Execute against team charter (SLA) for Reporting & Analytics for AMESA

    Pick Controller - Port Elizabeth DC

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor workload and assign work lists to users in the WMS.
    • Release tasks as per picking sequence provided by Third Party Transporter and the Key Acc Controller/Manager.
