    Senior School Life Orientation Teacher

    Qualifications/Special skills

    • A recognised academic degree, with Life Orientation as a specialisation, and a professional teaching qualification
    • SACE registered
    • Teaching experience in a similar teaching position
    • Have proof of clearance against the Sexual Offenders and Child Protection Registry - this is required for any staff member working in a school environment Experience and confidence in IEB curriculum delivery will be an advantage

    • Be innovative, embrace technology in the classroom and display a creative teaching style
    • Strong organizational, administrative and time management skills
    • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

    Performing Arts Centre - Vocal Coach/Teacher

    • St Mary's DSG aims to empower confident yet humble persons of integrity and character to serve our nation and the world. The School invites suitably experienced candidates, who meet the criteria, to apply for the role of Vocal Coach/Teacher in the Junior and Senior School.

    Requirements:

    • Classically trained Vocalist
    • Proficient in Vocal teaching and performing.
    • It is important to note that the appointed teacher will liaise with the parents directly with regards to invoicing and payment for lessons. Excellent sight-reading skills.
    • Energetic, self-motivated, innovative and creative
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop purposeful working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
    • Ability to contribute to a dynamic and well-established team
    • Working with students from ages 6 -18.
    • 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute lessons.
    • Writing termly reports.
    • Preparing students for internal Music examinations.
    • Preparing students for external (ABRSM, TCL and UNISA) examinations.
    • Preparing students for eisteddfods and other Music festivals and concerts as required by the Director of Arts and Culture.
    • Strong organisational and administration skills
    • Experience working in a multi-cultural context
    • Proficient in English, with proficiency in an African language an advantage
    • Willing to support, promote and work within the Anglican ethos of the School.
