    Brand Chief Finance Officer

    Key Purpose Statement

    • The role of the Brand Chief Financial Officer is to drive EBIT maximization and optimal capital allocation to deliver the short and mid-term objectives of the Brand, in line with the Brand strategic plan. 

    Principal Accountabilities

    EBIT maximization

    • Drive billing completeness by monitoring controls of billing input
    • Implement controls for bursary application or renewal and ensure adherence to brand policies and guidelines.
    • Based on profitability analysis, identify levers to maximize other income and minimize costs and drive business outcome.
    • Develop a mid-term plan for Brand capital allocation, to deliver the Brand strategic objectives.

    Planning

    • Coordinate the budget development of the Brand and schools, in line with the Strategic mid-term plan.
    • Facilitate the development of Brand and school business plan and drive implementation of the planned activities to deliver the budget. Manage the risks and opportunities.
    • Drive EBIT forecast accuracy and develop timeously profit recovery measures if needed to deliver budget.
    • Develop financial model to project IRR of main investment projects.

    Enhancement of internal control and continuous business process improvement

    • Continuously assess coverage and effectiveness of the Brand and school internal control system and drive enhancement.
    • Maintain Brand governance and internal control system (approval framework, policies, guidelines, risk control matrix for all key processes with business impact).
    • Continuously test effectiveness and coverage
    • Conduct training and sensitization campaigns
    • Document and maintain RACI matrices, SOP
    • Develop controls, check lists
    • Identify opportunities for efficiency, cost saving, customer experience enhancement and revenue maximization in business processes and drive continuous improvement
    • Drive yearly asset count and improvement of asset safeguarding controls

    Manage financial operations (billing, collection and procure-to-pay)

    Drive effectiveness of fee collection and credit check of fee payers upon admission or re-registration:

    • Coordinate and control monthly Pre-suspension/suspension/termination campaigns and yearly non re-enrolment campaigns.
    • Coordinate and control financial clearance and credit check operations prior to student admissions..
    • Continuously drive initiatives to minimize debt
    • Coordinate billing operations and milestones 

    Drive optimal procurement decisions, suppliers paid on time and procurement requirements met timeously to deliver academic service.

    • Control GSS SLA KPI for the source-to-pay cycle
    • Identify opportunities to drive centrally cost savings
    • Continuously monitor process quality and drive improvement
    • Review and approve expenditures and process exceptions, in line with the Group policy and approval framework

    Reporting

    • Compile month-end reporting and control quality and SLA for GSS input
    • Maintain financial dashboards and management reports to drive decision-making for the Brand and Principals

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum requirement is B Com with completed Articles CA (SA) or MBA

    • Minimum of 7 years working experience in a Financial Manager/ CFO role in a similar-sized organisation.

    Duties required: 

    • Controlling Sports Programme
    • Controlling Sports Events
    • Coaching in various Sporting Disciplines. 
    • Liaising with parents, students, and visitors to the campus.
    • Sports Equipment – budgeting and management.

    • Physical Education Teacher – Grade 1 to 7.

    Competencies/Skills/Requirements:

    Qualifications: 

    • Minimum requirement is a recognised Degree and/or a diploma in Sports’ Management or Teaching Qualification with Physical Education as a subject completed.
    • SACE registration would be advantageous.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the same and/or similar type of position and environment.
    • Ability to coach sports is essential 
    • Experience in the organisation of sporting events

    Duties

    Executive Personal Assisant

    Overall Purpose of the Job

    • The purpose of this role is to handle administrative and executive support-related tasks.Additional administrative support to the Group HR Team. This position requires a resourceful individual who possesses high level problem solving skills, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, is exceptionally detail focused. Provide secretarial support, extensive diary management, event coordination, provides guidance with regards to HR administration matters.

    Secretarial

    • Ensure the Executive’s diary (electronic) is optimally managed for internal and external responsibilities and duties.
    • Liaise with internal and external parties to coordinate various meetings. 
    • Schedule meetings for the Executive to meet with direct reports at intervals as agreed
    • Provides confidential secretarial support to the Executive and HR Team
    • Recording and typing agendas, minutes, memos, letters, reports for the Executive when required.
    • Responsible for answering, scanning and re-routing of telephone calls as well as setting up of telephone or video conferences
    • Books venues for meetings and organises refreshments to company policies and ensure that they are kept abreast of policy changes
    • Arranges and schedules psychometrics assessments for support office
    • Cost Centre and budget monitoring and alert the Executive of risks/cost overruns
    • Maintain Contact databases of the Executive.
    • Organise, coordinate meetings, take minutes, follow-up on action items emanating from the meetings and schedule debriefing meetings so as to follow up action items that can be implemented

    Professional Support to Executive

    • Liaise with other secretaries in the Group.
    • Support the Executive with follow-up activities
    • Send out reminders to Managers teams regarding deadlines for submission of weekly/monthly reports and group calender report
    • Managing and providing executive support to office of the Executive
    • Act as a Primary point of contact for internal and external clients on all matters pertaining to the Executive and HR Team
    • Gatekeeping – act as a liaison between the public, clients and customers, staff members and the office of the Executive
    • Ensure timeous reporting and feedback to stakeholders- Reporting and document control
    • Ensure that all stakeholder reports are in line with the organisational requirements and standards

    Manco, and Exco Level Liaison

    • Manco Exco Support and Liaison-Serve as the liaison between the executive office and members
    • Circulate reports, minutes and agendas for meetings, record the minutes, and follow upon actions and matters arising
    • Managing relations between the Manco HR Team to ensure management understanding of the board expectations
    • Respond to other stakeholder queries in a timely and professional manner, both orally and in writing.
    • Maintain a consolidated list of action items flowing from various forums, committees and meetings.
    • Education (Formal Qualification required)
    • A relevant Secretarial, Executive Secretrial or Office/Business Administration qualification
    • Profiency in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook )
