    Product Processing Line Driver

    Job Purpuse:

    • Operator with defined tasks to run the defined production line.
    • JNR Line Driver defined  to run lines in a specific Production plant only
    • Strive to ensure implementation of DSO culture within the mission critical squad

    Key Task and Resposibilities:

    • Responsible for safety on the line and all LOTO instructions and procedures.
    • Training of new employees on the line
    • Prepare all shopfloor paperwork for the process orders (SDS, Filling Forms, COA, Packing directives)
    • Ensure to follow the prescribed work instruction (WI) , SOP and bill of material (BOM) for each recipe
    • Operates machines or equipment, which involves setting up and making adjustments to regulate such factors as temperature, pressure, flow and reactions of materials.
    • Operate and control the unit manually/via control system
    • Run up and shut down of production line, product changeover activities, equipment cleaning and decontamination
    • Filling operations
    • Routine analytics, taking of samples
    • Autonomous maintenance  - equipment maintenance/repairs in coordination with the technical team
    • Solve production disturbances with lean tools on the line before escalation e.g. 5 Why, Fishbone, ect…
    • Log job cards on shift connector and inform unit lead
    • Document and communicate work results (shift handover) on Shift connector
    • Perform partial confirmations on SAP or scan & consume
    • Record hourly in process quality checks on QM online
    • OEE recording on the line
    • Record hourly on  the short interval controls boards
    • Reconcile materials at the end of the process order and process returns  to maintain inventory in the PSA
    • Support troubleshooting of process deviations in cooperation with Production Experts and team
    • Support one management system activities / Philosophy and best practice roll out on the line
    • Support Formulation production as required.
    • Support 3rd Party functional outsourcing with planning, set-up of machines and 4 eye checks, as required
    • Housekeeping of workplace
    • Forklift driving or operator automatic pallet jack
    • Any other function on site as requested by Experts or Unit Leaders

    Qualifications Required:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • 5 Years of experience in  manufacturing  
    • Production Management an Advantage
    • White / Yellow Belt in LSS an Advantage
    • Situational Leadership an Advantage
    • Good Basic Mathematical skills
    • Basic Knowledge of Continues Improvement
    • Good written and verbal communication
    • SAP experience
    • Microsoft Office

    Tax Lead and LEFIM Southern Africa

    Main Purpose:

    • Responsible for operations and compliance in the area of taxation and ensure internal controls as per global and local guidelines - processes audit and control system
    • The jobholder is responsible for all legal entity financial topics for Southern Africa (e.g., planning and forecasting processes) and ensures proper local implementation of key corporate processes, directives and functions. 

    Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with all local tax laws in the area of Corporate taxes and VAT including tax payments, tax return submissions in addition to Bayer Global guidelines and KPIs such as Effective tax rate and BKA reporting
    • Identification of tax risks and implement mitigation procedures in addition to performing all tax calculations for accounting and audit purposes;
    • Liaise with tax authorities, tax advisors including transfer price offices;
    • Training of business group representatives on VAT and import duty issues;
    • Support tax audits and tax litigation including related risk management Manage and support transfer pricing
    • Tax planning and preparation of annual tax returns, provisional tax payments
    • Ensure compliance with all local tax laws in the area of Corporate taxes Support in development and ensure implementation of directives/ guidelines/ SOPs in coordination with function area responsible. Scrutinize internal control system and processes to identify control weaknesses, suggest and develop control measures, and supervise/follow up implementation and do walk-throughs;
    • Perform ad hoc internal audits/forensic audits/complaints through "fraud line";
    • Assist – Corporate internal audits/ Statutory audits

    LEFIM:

    • Perform short term planning, forecasting and recording/ documenting of Legal Entity Financials.
    • Prepare local LE income statement and consolidation for tax Forecast and Transfer Pricing
    • Prepare local LE cash flow for Liquidity planning and impairment testing Prepare necessary financials for exposure planning
    • Ensure compliant and timely delivery to global systems (e.g. data.one, CoFiPot, BayTC)
    • Ensure data integrity and error corrections
    • Support external reporting to authorities
    • Comply with Bayer standard Financial Steering process and timelines (divisional & non divisional)
    • Operational implementation and change management of defined planning process and tools
    • Responsible for local governance of intercompany transactions and intercompany contracts
    • Ensure compliance with ICS relevant activities concerning legal entity relevant processes

    Key Working Relations:

    • Contact with Divisional Finance Managers for transaction details, explanations, supporting documents, etc
    • Training of BG personnel/central services on tax requirements – VAT and import dates;
    • Transfer price offices of Bayer Group.
    • Tax authorities and tax advisors
    • Internal and External auditors
    • Business Process Auditor
    • CFO

    Qualifications & Competencies:

    • Qualification: CA(SA) with specialisation in the field of Taxation 
    • Experience: 5-8 years of relevant tax experience
    • Experience in working with tax authorities
    • Attention to fine detail in applying tax knowledge/analyzing facts and tax law.
    • Project Management – Time bound projects with stakeholder management.
    • Recognize problem situations and make suggestions to solve this in difficult/confidential situations.
    • Ability to cope with stress and unusual/difficult situations and not losing control, meeting deadlines, maintain professional independence, adapt to a new methods and techniques.
    • Ability to work in teams as well as alone.
    • Good presentation and communication skills.
